They changed the story to much from the original and made Maleficent soft. It should of never been about aurora she should of just been a tool for Maleficent to get revenge on the King that started a war then have her break the curse after killing the king. The second one should of been about aurora finding out that prince Phillip didn't save her or kill Maleficent and the truth about her father which would lead her to reach out to Maleficent and becoming friends with the fairy folk. Then having the prince turn the people against the fairies saying they enchanted aurora and take over her kingdom bring in his own army to attack the fairy glades.

You know, I'm surprised more people aren't talking about the beautiful irony that Maleficent and Aurora each were ready to choose each other's path out of familial love: Maleficent was willing to stop and listen to Aurora even if for a minute instead of instantly attacking the Queen, and Aurora would have thrown the Queen off the ramparts to avenge Maleficent if those guards hadn't made it up to the roof on time.

At the dinner for instance, evil conniving queenie invented the entire nonsense of Maleficent being supposedly "a mistress of evil", as means to start what appears to be a genocide against the Moors (meaning Maleficent's people). Now, Aurora, on the other hand, took side with evil queenie and I was in disbelief. "Aurora, why aren't you defending the woman who took care of you for your whole life?" Aurora as one of us teenagers being a bratty, whining child and doesn't listen a.k.a she is annoying. Now, her thoughts were on that wedding when clearly there's a genocide against the Moors. She begged Maleficent to stand down only for evil queenie to kill her. My ma hates her, I hate her and that evil bitch gerda. I hope that answers your question.
