I think the Republic fleet would have had a better chance had they had just one wing of fighters to draw fire. Just 2-3 fighters to make gun runs and pull the majority of fire off of the cruisers. By that same token would only be fair to give a wing fighters to the CIS as well.

Some advice for the next battle: the shields that it use have color coded effects. above 60% shield integrity are blue impact effects, then comes orange and below 30% or so it gest red. if the Shields don't recieve damage in 5 seconds or so they will recharge themselves slowly. During both battles the shields effects stayed blue... so the Shields weren't even dented. For your next video I'd advise to equipp the enemy ships with some shields^^ The weapon systems: you have turbolasers, which have lower firerate but more damage, then you have laser cannons with faster firerate but reduced damage and lastly you have the flak. Those are anti-shield weapons with verry low firerate but massive punch. Hope that gives you an overview of what you were driving. Oh and the gyros. since it is such a big ship it is supposed to be good at turning in low performance... so maybe equipp some modded gyros^^ or tone the shipbord gyros down (first toolbar first slot). As shown here the Malevolence makes an excellent brawler capable of delivering devastating broadsides. In order to deal any real damage it is important to attack from a distance or at its blind spot. Here instead of breaking formation or being overly aggressive the venitors would be better utilized in a block formation. Ideally at a distance where they can support each other. As the Malevolence advances it would be an ideal opportunity for the lighter cruisers to have encircled the ship an converged on the Malevolences rear. This would allow them to inflict major damage to the main source of propulsion. This would leave the ship dead in the water. The remaining venitors could descend out of the ships firing arc into its blind spot, subsequently causing major damage to the hull and possibly critical systems with the help of the remaining support craft. Instead most ships where scattered or destroyed in a meaningless frontal assault. The resulting confusion made it easy for Captain Jack to isolate and distroy the remains of the fleet.

I really hope we'll see more battles with star wars ships. Like ISD's maybe it's own couple of smaler ships, vs the malevolence and a couple of Providences. Oh what if you have a little battle Of you maybe taking the roll of CIS remnants who fights with a Lucrahulk and a providance and two munificence ships to help repel the ISDs and their smaller escort ships? I think those would be cool.

Funny thing is in Canon if you have not had that ion Cannon you would be toast the malevolence didn't have much in the way of offenseive weaponry it relied completely on Armor and the ion cannon in a one-on-one fight minus the shields amd the armor and the ion cannon the malevolence would lose

Had the 5 ships made a pentagram-ring around your ship they might have beaten you. Your ship is fast, and fires a lot of shots which allows it to shred one enemy ship at a time, but if your turrets were divided between 5 targets, all of whom were shooting you at the same time it could have made all the difference....but they didn't.
