@whatsreal83 right! i remember in the early days of the internet, going on the 1 giant family computer (dial up of course) and joining these RANDOM ass chat rooms with some ridiculous screen name and chatting with complete strangers about music, games, movies, sports etc and being thoroughly entertained. eventually they’d hit you with the old “A/S/L?” and you either make something up or exit the chat. that is, unless someone picked up the phone and disconnected you right in the middle of it lol. but yeah, no social media, no pictures, no profiles. just that screen name and whoever you wanted to be that day. mine was buffysummers 😂🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️.
