This highway eatery in Nelamangala, 40 kilometres from Bengaluru, is a passion enterprise of young entrepreneurs seeking to combine an iconic dosa style with local curries, palavs and more. Their conviction in the dosa, and a dosa cook with credentials apparently in the kitchen of the legendary Vinayaka Mylari, Mysuru, is even stamped in the name of this culinary venture, Malgudi Mylari Mane. I venture out for breakfast one early morning to taste the dose and other meaty offerings here, and return convinced that MMM certainly offers a refreshing change-from-the-usual offering for travellers on this stretch of the road. Mylari Dosa
Topped with some village butter, the Mylari Dose here served with a herb-enriched green saagu and coconut chutney. Its fluffy, porous texture also makes it a willing accomplice to be dunked in the curries. However, in comparison to the iconic Mysuru Vinayaka Mylari Dose that it seeks to emulate, it doesn’t quite manage the melt-in-the-mouth fragility of the original offering. But it is a tasty dose on its own.

The rice is a bit starchy to the touch, the punch of the spices quite pronounced in the rice. The meat is moist and juicy, savour it with the rice to taste the complete flavours of this tasty palav.

Although the composition of the spicing is similar to the chicken palav, one can taste the flavour and aroma of the meat in the rice as opposed to the accent of spices in the former. Kripal, I am looking forward to your review of Sinhala food someday. I do not know if Bangalore has Sinhalese joints. I did call up Mangalore Meets Lanka, the only one that I know of. I wanted to order Wattalappam my all time favourite. The owner said they are temporarily closed and are planning to open only by Christmas.

I always comment on here Kripal. But you need to anchor a National TV food show. You could have various segments within this show too. But it would be box office for sure. I repeat NONE and that is no one in India even comes close to your in depth knowledge in food and beverages. Truly world class.

Sir ur command over the English language is astounding ....I had to listen to ur explanation of the meat 3 to 4 times just to find out one word "mollycoddle".... At 25.25 "The meat is soft and juicy and pink with a bit of fat that is mollycoddling the meat".....Wow....another new word learnt today. Yes, the selection of eateries being presented must be stringent because the items in all episodes do look totally yummy and is endorsed by others Each episode improving by geomertrical progression. The way multitude of viewers of various backgrounds are addressed while maintaining an ongoing kannada chord of narration is remarkable .

Malgudi is combination of two real extensions of Bengaluru city . MAL from Malleshwaram and GUDI from Basavanagudi A made up combo name to depict a quintessentially Kannada place with such ambience that existed ( exists even today with mild changes ) in Mysuru Bengaluru Shimoga Hassan etc

It's great to know that you guys show amazing variety of Hindu nonveg food, it's a great refresher against many attempts in our country to vegeterianise Hindu cuisine, similar to Bangalore and Karnataka there exist infinite number of subdued Hindu nonveg food itenery all across our great country, I hope even those food get some credit on this channel

Had chance to visit this palace today. Frankly dose was good.. rest are oki kind and not really worth to travel only for this place. If you happened to travel toward Hassan then you can try once and enjoy the dose !
