Oh Grace, you’re so fortunate to own this Malibu Barbie!!! 51 years ago - wow! Mr. C. is so funny, I love his input!!! 🤣😂👏🏼 I don’t have the original Barbie - I sure wish I’d saved my Barbie dolls! She’s so lovely, and that dress! So pretty! ..my mother wore something just like it, but it was emerald green…it “floated” around her as I recall. I remember getting Malibu Barbie and Malibu Ken for my 10th birthday. When my oldest sister was stood up for a date and was crying..I put Ken in his maroon tux and asked her if she’d like to go on a date with him instead (Malibu Barbie understood, I was absolutely sure). I’ve been her favorite sister ever since then. I love how you evoke so many good memories for me…you are sumthin’ else Grace. Thank you, I really appreciate you and your channel. Hugs, Joy xox

@@HobbyPrincessHPG yeah, the orange one tacked to the box Malibu Barbie came in. It’s a cocktail dress, I remember the ‘70’s really well…that dress was everywhere…I grew up in Hollywood California, every woman that walked out of the max factor building was wearing a dress similar to that one.

That sounds really nice. I would love to visit the Max Factor building one day. I'm sure the dress looked beautiful. The one set that i have in this box, are pants and matching top. I was a little confused. Thanks for sharing that info with me, Joy!
