This was a quick training run to brush up on some skills. I did leave some mistakes in the video to continue to show that service dogs are not perfect and we are still working to make Sirius the best service dog he can be!

@Kicapu Danes are PRONE to ear infections due to the size and shape of the ear I would literally be HELPING let’s not push options on others in a rude way . Do some research and try to education on why you feel that way ☺️ because u just look stupid with a reply like that .

Ummmmm only a few breeds can get there ears done with out issues and Danes will have a lot of issues

@@thepupsthatrescuedme4452 that’s not true. danes are a breed that’s prone to ear infections. getting them cropped can make it less likely for such an infection from happening - not ENTIRELY, just LESS likely. it’s acceptable for them to have floppy and erect ears according to the AKC standards.

I love how your black dog is named Sirius! My therapist recommended a service dog and I'm naming it Peach if the dog is female and Bowser if the dog is male. I'm really happy to be getting my life under control, and I love watching vlogs like this!

You will love having a sd. I have had mine (Bella) for less than 2 years and the difference is amazing having her. I cant imagine not having one now.

@@laurendoerr I love my autism & scoliosis service dog. 💖 I kept his shelter name Chevas cuz he was 1 when I adopted him & he had bad separation anxiety...but that just made him better at his job, he's more alert to my needs & very eager to help me. If it weren't for him I probably wouldn't be able to live alone. 🐾💖

@@Autistic.dog.mom.stephie I also have scoliosis and autism along with a huge long list of other mental and physical issues. Bella is mostly trained to help with my severe anxiety and depression and we just started teaching her some new tasks for issues that have not been officially diagnosed with but that I think Bella will be able to help with. Unfortunately Bella is to small to do any mobility work due for me.

@@laurendoerr Chevas doesn't do mobility work either, though he's half lab half pitbull. He carries on command any item over 10 pounds cuz I'm unable to due to my back & reminds me to do my physical therapy & assists me with it. He also can alert me to heightened anxiety & prevent a panic attack by applying Deep Pressure Therapy, he eases dissociations with DPT, & can knock an item out of my hand if I'm using it for self harming & help me cope with DPT. But I think everyone can agree regardless of our disabilities or service dog tasks, the service dog gives us a level of independence & freedom we would not have otherwise.

Hahaha I USE ACCIO as my dogs recall word!!! She comes and gives me her collar when I say it. It has also sorta morphed into our fetch command which I am working on breaking that habit but ya!!!!! So cool my AD Luna Lovegood and I love the video and you have a very cute doggo

Great video. This makes me want to go to the mall to train with my sd and also think about teaching a new task. What all does Sirius do for you when you have a dizzy spell? I get them a few times a day and would really like to teach Bella how to help me with them. I have started collecting saliva samples for scent work but do not know if there is any other tasks that she could help with when I get my dizzy spells.
