As much as it hurts me to say Malleus thrived a bit better raised by Lilia rather than Mallenor. Thanks him he keeps his magic under check most of the time and loves humans.

I agree as much as I believe Malleus's mother would no doubt be a loving parent the trauma of the human fae war would likely give her a disdain for humans and Malleus might've been like that too if she was still alive. She reminds me of Neytiri from JC Avatar.

We all gotta thank Silver because if it's not for Lilia raising him and Malleus providing food for him since he was a baby they both wouldn't have warmed up that much to humans..granted Lilia saw the world and saw how much humans change in short time compared to fae so he was already changing his opinion of them but still looking after a human baby does wonders to one's psyches..I really think that if Yuu stays and spend more time with Malleus he might come to more understanding of humans sooner than 100 years lol but alas..Yuu just wanna go home

1:40 Malleus has got a pretty good estimate there since it took a few hundred before we got gamer dad, cutiepie Lilia. Who knows what Malleus’ll be like? Maybe he’ll start modelling to harass Vil’s descendants.

I revisit this video constantly and I don't think many people realize how self-centered Malleus is and how much of an enabler Lilia is. Malleus isn't even doing the bare minimum of trying to understand humans and he expects humans to go out of their way to understand and accommodate him. In Lilia's case, he had centuries of trauma to work through regarding humans and the fact that he was practicing what he preached and ACTIVELY worked to understand humans despite not getting it speaks volumes. Malleus thinks being ambivalent is the same as being understanding when it isn't. He has been isolated and enabled for a long time and as a result, DEFINITELY looks down on humans and it shows in his interactions. Calling things human do "meaningless," downplaying efforts just because it's a "non issue as a fae," he's condescending. He's not doing the active work. He has to be prompted by Lilia to do the active work, but he's commonly praised and doted on for doing nothing as well. I like that this video not only has it all in one place, but it also shows that no, Malleus isn't sweet or cute for this. If anything, it shows just how much of much of a socially maladjusted child he is. He's not in Briar Valley and he's not trying to get along with or understand humans because he still thinks he's above them even though he's no different. It makes him a very interesting character, but he has a LONG way to go and the onus is on him for that.
