Your videos are really starting to grow on me. I love the honesty in all aspects. I'm also always the last one to leave the track. Really fun little segment with all the stuff that got stuck to your tires :-) I watched the video all the way through - which is kinda crazy in these times of short attention spans. Well.. Several times during the video I thought that I'd have to pay a compliment. Keep up the good work! I actually run the same camera setup (360 in the back and a GoPro facing forward). I split the 360 into four different streams pointing N, E, S, W. This actually gives me "five" streams to cut between when editing footage. Just thought I'd share that with you. Cheers!

Thank you ever so much for this lovely detailed comment and very constructive too. love it. I am so grateful you pointed at the fact that, this short span video world we live in is unbelievable. I am not much of a a KZbin shorts , or reels or tik-tok person , I truly believe a full day like a track day should be story based , action packed , mistakes shown, overtaking , laps , great riding and appreciation towards others. I am a big fan of on track rider learning from each other and thats exactly what happened on that day. I truly appreciate you spending full hour to watch it , I did a similar video on mallory a few months back , if you loved this , you will like that even more. I am going to take that insta 360 pointer onboard , I didn't fully understand it but I will KZbin it , cause I am new to 360 and still need to make the most of it. thanks again

Abhi..i love this vintage feel trough the music you pick as in this intro,the drone shots associated to this specific intro add to it ; i truely love that,it even brings back some emotions,old memories of my proper racing days.....keep going on this path PLEASE lol. you are really up'ing the bar at each video. i can see you making a living out of your channel very soon man. honestly the SC1 front is THE front donut who gives me the max amount of confidence when it comes to trail braking the front deep into the corners. lets say that back in the days,we were running those 1st and 2nd generation michelin's pilots which were taking 4-5 laps sometimes more to warm up !!! wheeew !!!. what a giant steps has been made in the last 2 decades in matter of tire technology . for such short track,it's still flowing,not your typical stop and go .i love the gerald'd bend-charlies,stapelton sections of that track. it's cool to see you have a buddie which you can dice on the track while respecting the minimum level of safety.. your rear shows a pretty even wear.no apparent suspension set up problems from what we can read out of it. your lap times are pretty much even. can see you know where your limits are...or more accurately,where you stop to push,which i think is more of a personal choice than about limitations.i'm sure you could go faster,but at one point i guess we all have a red line we choose to respect. i lol'ed quite hard at 24.47 where you over shoot on the brakes...LOL..we see a rocket emerging between 2 bikes LOL,,,nice save,you did not '''freez'''' ,kept giving the right input to the bike,which saved some lawnmowing i guess lol. another well wrapped video Abhi.i love the longer format for sure.it's like a movie to me.

Sylvan, reading you r comments is like one of those KZbin channels , which summarises the whole movie in 8 mins lol , I love it , thanks for not only watching my stuff with so much attentiveness but also responding to everything with so much passion. you are so right about tyres , they have come along so much , these Metzeler heat up so quick and never show any signs of wear and that Pirelli front is just made in heaven to take so much punishment , that saved me from crashing plus me not giving up on that bend. the ding dong with the friend is most amazing , you should watch his stuff , winning inters channels , he puts full videos of every session , you will get a better perspective , a detailed one , as you are a man of detail. and you are spot on with the limits , if you hear the bike coming out of Shaw's hairpin , the electronics started to intervene a lot , my rear tyre had already done 7 odd trackdays and it was starting to show it's sliding capabilities a lot lol. all in all like you said , I kept things within my limit but had a lot of fun with other similar paced guys. thanks again , I really appreciate your support here

Hi Abhi, It looks like your moment going into Gerard's at 24:09 happened after you accidentally dropped into 2nd gear locking the rear momentarily, if you notice, you normally enter in 3rd gear and maintain this until you go into 2nd setting up for Edwina's chicane. You was doing around 229Kph when you had your moment so you wasn't going any slower than normal but was a gear lower. I enjoy your vid's, keep up the good work.

Steve Britt that’s exactly what Mike Edwards said too , my bike is basically geared for all in one set up cause I do Silverstone and snetterton too . It’s got the sweet spot of best of both worlds and I can’t even change the wheel myself , forget about sprockets lol . Wasn’t as quick as you . But I was quite happy sharing track with similar pace guys . Could you cut and paste that comment on KZbin cause I copy all my comments from there as a note and this gearing comment is something I don’t want to forget for 2022, may be I will try something different . And may be I will share the track with you as I will have my ACU by then 😉 I think 57.5 is on the cards next year If I had a fresh rear rather than a rear which had done 6 or 7 days , I might have cracked 58 secs

@@ChasingTenths be careful with that Steve Britt! Top bloke off the track but will dive bomb you at the first opportunity on track... be especially cautious if you see him on a green bike rather than his pre-injection "rocket" R1, as we're just not sure how lethal he'll be on a modern bike! Things to look into for a return to Mallory (this year?), gearing (as Steve said, it's all kinds of wrong), switch off or at least reduce the TC (particularly bad for finishing the turn) and confidence down Devil's Elbow (as that's the main place you are losing time). I appreciate your comment "fast and safe" and hope to see you on track this year. Rider of the Red GSXR #72 👍

Hey Abhi, I've just binge watched the Snetterton vids and now this one. Brilliant stuff! Have to say the little battles on track is very similar to how I get drifting with lots of people in close proximity, love it. Have you considered manually blipping the downshift and getting rid of that blipper? Would do my head in when it messes about! You can see matey on the number 69 is doing it all the time. Say hello to Blake if you see him racing this weekend as guessing your at snett too. Good luck, will catch you some time at a track day I'm sure.

Hey Dan, first of all sorry for the late reply , some comments slip through the net. You know what , thanks for binge watching the stuff , not many people do that , especially cause my videos can be very long , so about blipping , I am absolutely rubbish at manually blipping the throttle , really bad infect , I disturb the bike way too much , way way too much into corners, so the best thing for me to do is to sort the Blipper issue out mate. I have it booked with PCR performance in cannock soon , so hopefully it will be resolved. Will say hello to Blake, and I really want to come to one of the drift events mate.

The telemetry data on your video is excellent. TRACKDAY GENIUS correct??? How has your experience been using the program??? Will it work on a Macbook Pro??? And the most "popular" question, what is the cost??? I started attending Track Day at my local track last summer and I have been looking for a program to use with my GoPros to be able to use the telemetry to help improve my track skills. The GoPro Quik app has not worked well for me at all. Thanks for all the great content. Keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤🏍 Randy
@ChasingTenths2 жыл бұрын
Hey Randy , yes, it’s called Trackday Genius , I have been using it for 3 years now . It’s excellent, I hardly have any issues at all, the main thing is you need free space on your phone for the app to render the gps overlay, it’s a very powerful app and you need your GoPro’s software to be updated so the gps is accurate, gps plays a main role here and Offcourse sometimes gps fails and you can’t do much then . App rewards you to upload your laps online and then you end up getting free gps overlays , or you can pay £5 a month or less. I only pay when it’s track season . They are working on the desktop version, at the moment the app is excellent, it’s free to download load , pay around with it . You just need to transfer the video from SD card through dongle or through computer to phone into phones camera roll and the app picks it up . And it knows a 20 min session is 2 different clips in the camera roll so it automatically detects the other . I will make a video on it soon. Thank you for watching and your lovely words mate

Man I could not deal with that auto blipper issue. That shit would drive me crazy. So the Extreme component reserves. Never rocked them myself, but they look very crafty, and slick. They also look a bit minimalist. Could the rearset be flexing under load so much that the shift rod transmits it to the sensor making it blip? They look very minimalist like my old valtermoto ones I had back in my fireblade days and like they probably flex and move a lot under load. Just a thought I had 10 minutes into your video.
@ChasingTenths2 жыл бұрын
Very good point you made there , definitely the Rearsets are not only stunning but they are minimal because these are used in moto 3 and moto 2 on the KTM bikes . So they have to be very minimal and light . No extra unnecessary bits or show off tarty things . The blipper issue is totally down to my fault . Sometimes when you change something important like a Rearset. You have to reduce the sensitivity of the blipper and I haven’t changed that and I pressed too many buttons and got confused so I will get it sorted soon but luckily the problem is only in the first session after that it’s ok . Thanks for the detailed comment and watching . Feel free to ask anything else

Another very entertaining film, thank you 😁 Looking back on the day, I noticed you had a few issues. Repeated missed gears at Devils Elbow, the electronics kicking in at the hairpin and what seemed like the rear wheel locking up approaching the hairpin several times in the last session. When this happens, do you make adjustments to the various electronic assists to help out next time you're at Mallory, or just go with it and leave the bike settings alone as you've got the best compromise for the whole track? By the way, did you say the MTS suspension set up cost £60? If it was, that is so worth it 😁 Cheers👍
@ChasingTenths2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Mark, very well Summarised the issues I was having . The rear was nearly gone It had way too many heat cycles and Trackdays and it was getting properly worn and was bother electronics coming out of corners. The blipper is now sorted The issue was a twisted rose joint holding the blipper shifting rod I did try To change the sensitivity of the blipper but I was too scared to mess it up so I just got on with it . I guess if I didn’t have all these issues, I would probably had another second in me but hey ho it was a rewarding day. Yes the MTS set up was £60 and it paid dividends. Thanks for watching it with so much heart and soul Really appreciated

Great point mate, I looked into it, even without the gps the i2m gps sensor and the i2m aren’t talking to each other Sometimes I get a lap Sometimes I don’t Like on this trackday it measured two laps And one of them was 57.7 but I think I did a 58.2 so I just didn’t trust it

Hi Abhi, love the film, thanks for the material. How did you get on with the noise testing at Mallory? Cheers

Thanks very much for appreciating the work behind the scenes Michael . I had Akrapovic slip on with the smaller baffle on my 2015 RSV4 RF . It was 102db :) , same setup at oulton was 99db I couldn’t believe it But I never had more than 103db

I have the same tyres on atm TD rear which has done 5 days and still loads left on it and an sc1 on the front. I've done 6 days on the front and the tyre is still looking good and in shape but I'm not sure if I should push my luck anymore as it's an sc1 but then again don't wanna waste any of the tyre. On average uk days how many days do you get out of the sc1 front mate?
@ChasingTenths2 жыл бұрын
excellent that , I run the same set up except racing and it's great , I do change the sc1 front after 3 trackdays. I can get out 3 to 4 trackdays from the front
@richbonesjones47292 жыл бұрын
@@ChasingTenths I normally run Michelin and they are preferred choice but got caught short with a puncture at Snett and purchased the T.D and Sc1. I notice with the Pirelli rears there is a fare amount of movement which I'm not keen on but the TD rea has been good. Not gonna lie though I'm looking forward to having Michelins back on 🤣

Can u share what the stem mount is for the gopro. What's in the stem that doesn't spin all the damn time?
@ChasingTenths2 жыл бұрын
I am using the Ram mount. All the secondary mounts are Ram too . It’s worked really well with no issues Here’s a video which explains all the mounts kzbin.info/www/bejne/gafYZJdom52jmqc Hope it’s helpful

@@ChasingTenths I tried that ram mount and it would not stop spinning. :(
@ChasingTenths2 жыл бұрын
@@snikwadRR damn , that’s sad, there’s a new version with a rubber funnel type insert which you insert in that hole . That keeps it from spinning , make sure it’s original ram mount and the one with a funnel

I reckon Honda 69 was probably pretty annoyed with you. He overtakes you at will around the outside of Gerard’s but then you 200bhp him on the straight. He’s also a lot more courteous then you, your overtake at the hairpin is when he’s conscious of the slower riders in front and you dive bomb him up the inside. Maybe the wide angle lens does make it look close but you’re “close” on quite a few occasions. I like your videos normally Abhi but you came across as wreckless on this one.
@ChasingTenths2 жыл бұрын
I understand what you mean Ian , let me address the points you raised . The reason I have showcased bike number 69 so much because I owed him this amazing feature, , if you notice twice on the last session he gave me a pat on his bum as a signal to follow him and also a leg out for me to now overtake him, he was asking me to stay with him and then he deliberately stayed behind me to watch my lines and we had a good catch up afterwards. I was learning from him as mentioned in the video , he wasn’t the person I dive bombed , that was a different bike (if we are talking about the same incident) , and I explained in detail the dive bomb mistake from 3 different camera angles .Now, let’s get to the power figure you mentioned , mybike is 178 bhp on the rear wheel measured by PCR performance Cannock who look after OMG racing so their dyno is absolutely accurate, happy to email the graph if need be… , I have a 2015 bike not the super modern missiles we see these days . Where you see him being behind me , he could have easily overtaken me , we had a conversation about him guiding me , I think if you watch most of my trackday day films, I don’t do anything to show off but to learn from others and appreciate others who are there at the track . We are all in this together there’s no animosity . Thanks for watching with a keen eye :) and yes I must say , the reckless point is justified , I also found myself trying a little to hard for no apparent reason. Lesson learnt ;)

Totally understandable Stephen, I appreciate your feedback and excellent stuff by your friend , talented chap for sure. It was my third time there , still learning stuff . However, only 3 people were quicker than me that day and i was comfortable with the speed I was doing , I have sent my footage already to Mike Edwards , he is a British supersport racer from early 90’s and 80’s, he’ll be coaching me further to get quicker and safer .
