Why when the s2 is switched on, the electron won't "stick" the anode. Why the electron move straightly across the anode? The power is very high right? It should attract all electron to it right?
@YourMom-my7fw3 жыл бұрын
electrons travel too fast to stick/deflect at such a sharp angle bro, so it accelerates the electrons, and once it's out of the anode, that's how you get the flourescent effect, cos the electrons spread all over they need a longer distance to deflect, and that too has to be at a small angle

Friend get your facts right before talking rubbish. The experiment is called the Maltese cross experiment because the cross is a Maltese cross. Maltese is not the name of the inventor. The first person to used this arrangement is Julius Plücker in 1869.

Apparently, the cross is a symbol of the Order of St.John. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maltese_cross This link could help you~

Did you even bother to look up what a Maltese cross looks like when making this animation? If you fail on a basic detail like that, what does it say about the credibility of the rest of your information?

dude this is how its illustrated in our syllabus....obviously you're not gonna draw a glass maltese cross tube, it'll be trickier to see properly. its just a diagram, be respectful lah there's a better way to say it.
