If Malthus is alive today, he would probably posit that population growth has a positive correlation with human pollution due to capitalistic consumerism. This results in the overproduction of GHGs. This is corrected by positive checks such as devastating climate change and pollution-related diseases, and preventive checks such as clean tech and sustainability-led ideologies such as de-population, de-growth and eco-socialism. The quickest, most effective de-population method? A nuclear war. Maybe that explains the intentional recklessness we're seeing over the Ukraine war right now.
