When the battle was favorable to the Knights...they still lost 3 men for every 1 the Wolves lost. When it wasn't favorable? Oh man...was it baaaad. Of course, this is what happens when you send your psyker chapter against a bunch of guys too angry to die that are also highly resilient and resistant to your space magic. Also, after the Months of Shame the Knights refused to ever kill those who see them again. The only kill those who are tainted now...and do NOT listen to the Inquisition for who is tainted or not. They have specialists that determine that in their own ranks now.

Kais, the Firewarrior protagonist, gets several mentions in the Tau novels; he's on ice, and they'll only unfreeze him if there's a terrible threat. To be clear; The Damocles Crusade wasn't a dire enough threat to.the Tau Empire to warrant his thawing. On top.of Khorne possibly giving him a reacharound, he trained with Farsight and Shadowsun, and outdid the both of them in their trials. His name in Gothic translates simply to 'Skilled'.

Sanguinius easily wins. He’s simply too strong for the Lion to beat. The Lion might have a tactical advantage whereby he orchestrates his legion to win the battle against the Blood Angels, but in the end the Lion would still be dead and Sanguinius alive.

Lion was one of the top three duelists among the Primarchs and he's not dumb enough to charge into melee combat, and even if he did enter melee he still killed Angron, and despite what people say, even Sanguinius struggled with Angron, he only won because he got lucky, he also wasn't sure he could beat Konrad who the Lion bodied once he lured him into a duel. Lion would bait Sanguinius (and his massively smaller Legion) into a killzone, kill off Sanguinius' sons in a single strike, then bombard Sanguinius' general location with ordinance. Remember, Lion has one of the largest fleets and legions amongst his brothers. Sanguinius would have to tear through 170'000 marines plus all their warcrime level shit plus their enslaved Men of Iron, plus all the fancy toys the Emperor gifted them before he could even touch Lion. If it was a one on one, Lion would lose after giving Sanguinius a few scars. But with their Legions, it is beyond unfair.

@@starhammer5247 So are we assuming prep time then? Because if so, Sanguinius is a psyker with premonitions and is not stupid enough to walk directly into a trap with the Lion. Also, Lion beat Angron with the assistance of an unbreakable shield and teleportation powers. He did not have those during the heresy. He had to use hit-and-run tactics against Angron or he would have died in a single hit by his own admission. Sanguinius on the other hand, took on several Greater Daemons *back to back* and then fucking Angron. Also also, Komrad won 2 of the 3 duels he had with the Lion and the Lion captured him the third time after Corswain stabbed Konrad in the back while Konrad was choking the Lion to death. And just for the sake of argument, let's assume that the Lion did kill Sanguinius? In the most recent Siege of Terra book, the initial psychic backlash that hit the Blood Angels when Sanguinius died made them stronger than the Gal Vorbak. So I don't really care how outnumbered they are when they turned into literal meat blenders that kill everything during the Siege when daemons were everywhere. I'm sorry dude, but you just can't out-powerscale Sanguinius and his legion of death-switches.
