This Antioqueño represents. He’s smart and uses his talent and history to his advantage. He addresses the stereotypes every Colombian faces when going out into the world and he makes it clear that the narrative that we should concentrate on is the resilience of a society which has lived through difficult times and prevailed over and over again. There are two generations between this young man and my parents who immigrated to the States, but they are the same in many ways.
