Dude, I'm 36 and just getting into biking which feels old as hell, but this show is in my town I had no idea it existed, definitely have to go if it runs next year. Your vids have helped inspire this old boy to get out so thanks for that!

36 is young! There are race categories up to 60 plus. It's on this year at the end of August. I expect to see you on the DH start line, you will love it.

Love these show walk about vlogs . I used to go to the old Malvern show with my giant atx 990 with z1 bombers etc ( nearly the same as the old animal team bikes ) which I still have and I am nearly finished getting it going again properly ( did need to put some newer components on as couldn’t get original old )

That was awesome! I'm not into all that retro stuff (I've ridden a retro bike in my life enough to hate all of them till the end of my life), but all the dudes and modern technology was just amazing.

You should do a segment on Dave Wrath-Sharman and Geoff Apps, the true originals of British offroad biking in the Eighties. You'll find many of their ideas being reprised in Rivendell and Jeff Jones bikes. BTW Geoff was a trials rider originally I believe.

I only got rid of my 1989 Specialised Rockhopper a few years ago 😔 It was given to me as a company mountain bike when I lived in the Chiltern Hills leading groups and doing MTB trials. I did keep one of the original oval chainrings though ☺

Are you a fan of motorbike trials, Ali? After watching all of your and your friends videos, YT now started recommending that sport to me... but it's pretty cool. The riding skills are the same, but they have gears and a clutch as an extra challenge.

@@Ali_Clarkson I guess when you're sponsored it's less of a problem? A peasant like me (who even works as a bike mechanic) prefers to just take care of what he has.
