Comparison is the killer of joy. You're the mother of five. Cut yourself some slack and don't compare yourself to other mothers. You are so great with all your kids. I love your videos! I've been happily married for 9+ years. We have a 8-year-old son. In 6 months, we will decide if we want to have more kids. "We are moving in a few weeks" I use a happy planner to keep track of all the things we do each week. I start doing my weekend cooking on Thursdays. My weekend dinner that i start on Thursday I cook in bulk, so we have a lot of leftovers to finish eating up to next Thursday. I keep a lot of microwavable foods in my fridge and freezer. The other days it's make your own meal for all meals. Monday through Friday, we are just too busy to have our schedule any other way. This way, we waste only a few things once in a blue moon. I use pressure cooker for most of my meals.

as a texan, i can wholeheartedly say that blue bell is the best ice cream out there! their homemade vanilla is the best vanilla flavor there is in my opinion. growing up, we had an ice cream vending machine in our elementary school in the cafeteria and i remember saving up enough coins to buy myself a blue bell cookie cone. great memories. life was so simple back then😂

Kim, thank you so much for sharing the parts of life that most don't share. The parts that show we are all human and not perfect. The chaos, the messy fridge, the piles of laundry, the leftover food we had good intentions for but just went forgotten and moldy in the back of the fridge, the crumby pantry etc. The moments that remind us who watch you, that we aren't alone. If you, our woman across the room, also has those imperfect moments, we can learn to forgive ourselves. I can probably speak for many who watch you, that this is the reason we do. Thank you for being real. 💙💜💙

Hi, for the container without the lid with the cake, I would in the future use toothpicks put like 6 for your size and cover with foil . This way the foil will not touch the frosting and it won’t come off on the foil. You can put the toothpicks two in the middle and two on each side. Hope this little tip helps for future yummy baking goodies. Have a great week!

Oh, how I remember the turmoil middle school brought. Not gonna lie, all of my 3 kids changed when they hit middle school. All I could attribute it to was becoming aware of other kid's influences, upbringing, and changes in fads/language. Not everyone they came in contact with was growing up with the values I was trying to instill in them. It was a battle I'll tell you when they're spending so much time outside of your influence, i.e., school, extracurricular activities, sleep-overs, etc. All we can do is our best to remind/re-enforce what we, as parents, prefer. I have to say that the most trying of the 3 was my daughter. My boys weren't anywhere close to the troubles I went through with my daughter. She is turning 40 soon and a few years back, when her oldest of 3 daughters was in middle school, she turned to me and said, "I get it now. I understand completely what you were going through with me. I don't know where you got the strength to keep your composure. I can only hope I have that strength from you in me." Kim, you are a good mom and you have a good partner in Alex to navigate through the trials of parenting. Be kind to yourself. Give yourself grace. Also, thank you for sharing Eddie Murphy's perspective in your video. I needed to hear those words.

Popping in before I finish the video. I was watching you explain about ixl and realized that we have been using it for over 10 years! My son is a junior in high school and he started using it in kindergarten and now two of my three daughters use it too. I have two high schoolers, one in middle school and one in first grade and they all use ixl. I will say that the subjects covered on there that they spend the most amount of time practicing are the classes where they usually get As. The extra help outside of school is amazing! It really is tailored to each child and keeps track of what they are good at and what they need more practice on. In areas where they are having a hard time, the lessons stretch out longer until they start getting the answers right. It’s a wonderful tool and a lot of schools use it! Thanks for sharing Kim! I have a new found excitement for ixl and my kids are going to do some extra practice this week! I won’t tell them who reminded me of it though because they love this KZbin channel!😂😂😂

Back then (20ish yrs ago), I used workbooks w/her, & it was up to me to help explain things. It would've been nice to have online tools to help explain & reinforce things! By 7th grade, my daughter's math homework exceeded my abilities, & technology allowed her G'ma to help teach via Skype. So glad your kids can work independently online! They'll be getting the extra attention they need, at their own pace, which is just awesome♡

Hey friend, don't let the talk of the other parents get to you. You are such a great mom! My kids are 18, 16 and 12 now and its been a bit rough in the last years, especially the pandemic and lockdown. My oldest in fact just moved out to the next bigger town, but he'll come home on the weekends often, I suppose. With him its been really difficult but thats because he has ADHD and is on the autistic spectrum and I feel I lost him in the pandemic/lockdown and although he is very intelligent school went downhill from there for him. With the 16yo (girl) there have been also some bumps in the road but nothing major. The 12yo is really easy and calm up until now.

Next night if you have veggies leftover put it that container. IOTW fill up the container with leftovers till you have a homemade personal freezer meal. Put a label- masking tape and write what’s in there cause you’ll forget.
