The most I've ever seen on an idol while promoting is a 5 o'clock shadow or an extremely faint moustache/goatee combo, it's common for them to have their facial hair permanently lasered off. Armpit and leg hair used to be way more common on male idols but in this age of 4K cameras even that has become vanishingly rare! Haha yeah dance version is one of the many things performance MVs can be called. Your faces during the kiss montage are just like my reaction when this came out, incredible song, mildly uncomfortable video... For next Mamamoo Monday I recommend Um Oh Ah Yeah, it is both hilarious and their breakout hit that launched them into mainstream popularity!

Decalcomanie is one of the best k-pop songs for me. It's just so perfect and only mamamoo could pull it off. I have only watched the mv one time by myself and i have watched a couple of reactions to it, but it always makes me giggle. The secondhand embarrassment is so unbearable for me. I only watch the dance ver 😭

I'm sure someone already told you that this is the edited version of the MV. The elevator scene appeared very nonconsensual and created something of an uproar at the time, so RBW took it down, losing a bunch of views, and replaced that portion with her holding the flowers and looking cute. The only way I know to see the original is to find some one's reaction who did it in the first few hours, using the original version. I have heard that Solar was OK with the original. In the story about sexual awakening, he thinks he seduced each of them, and they let him think that.

Decalcomanie is about mirroring. It is not one guy getting together with each sequentially it is a parrallel worlds experience of each woman having their first serious kiss/sexual awakening. Fruit is metaphor for getting wet. Blindfolds coming off.

Favorite part about this MV is definitely the making of it where all of the girls but in particular Moonbyul was unable to take the “kiss” seriously and bc of female moomoos being entirely too jealousy (me too tbh) they found the male actor’s instagram and found out he was gay 😂 so this was just a big mv about mlm and wlw solidarity

so glad you did watch the official MV, for me this is the definition of a perfect MV how it should be. It’s not a countless change of meaningless locations with dancing girls. It’s a multi layered story that still leaves space for interpretation, packed in beautiful visuals. Now that you have the Mamamoo monday, you should have a 4th Impact tuesday as well. If there is a Mamamoo match in the world, it’s 4th Impact from the Philippines. They just have released their debut EP with 5 fantastic strong songs a few weeks ago. YES this M/V should come with a disclaimer LoL. and NO lips touched LoL Decalcomania (from French: décalcomanie) is a decorative technique by which engravings and prints may be transferred to pottery or other materials Decal comes from it.... So from there, Korea took the word and kind of uses it to refer to people who look alike (mirror images). As in Moonbyul/Hwasa and Solar/Wheein.

The youngest Idol right now is 14 but there is one born january 2011 (turned 13 on saturday) that will debut soon. JYP ent debuted a project group with members around 60 years old, so there is still time for you. The behind the scenes of the MV are hilarious, their reactions to the guy are just so them. Wheein running and twirling away from the kiss scene, Hwasas only problem was her back hurting after some takes, Moonbyul cringing soo hard and kind of making disgusted noises, Solar cringing and having the part RBW had to reedit and reupload the mv. In the original he pinned Solar to the elevator wall I think.

Hwa Sa's back was hurting because the man in the MV was suppose to be holding her in a passionate kiss, but he wasn't strong enough to support her fully, and she was trying to hold herself in the pose, and it hurt her back with how many times they had to do the scene.

I'm so happy you back with Mamamoo! Did you know that is actually the revised MV for Decalcomanie? The scene with Solar and the guy in the elevator was longer, and not acted well, and so it was deemed ... well inappropriate, and cut down. They meant it to look like Solar and the guy had serious sexual attraction, and as she starts to leave he pulls her back in, she takes a moment to realize what's happening, their eyes meet, and then the passion that was building while they were in the elevator takes over and they kiss. BUT ... that isn't what happens. Instead, Solar looks like she is fighting him off, and well you can see where that goes. Here is a video that shows both cuts of the MV so you can see how they both look side by side.
