She teased In the Mood ever since January 2022 so we've been waiting a while for it and it was SO worth the wait. My favourite album ever - can't wait until you hear it. But Paraglide is my favourite song on this album!

Wheein has always been the member I resonated with the most. She has an appreciation for art, and has dealt with anxiety/depression for a very long time. This album (also explained in her interview with PinkVilla) isn't necessarily about relationships - understandable since relationships, love, romance sells well. This particular album is about her, her own growth since 'WHEE' means ‘light’ or ‘enlightenment’. The album is essentially self love; sort of like acceptance coming to terms with mental health, and learning to love herself. The pit she falls in, in make me happy is so visceral because even with debilitating depression (myself) there are still more days than often where you're just free falling back in, but learning to accept yourself, trying to love yourself, even when you fall, you can still find brief moments of calm or things that make you happy even though you can't make yourself happy; what you said about feeling weird, and feeling off, that sort of mimics the conflict of self loathing and self love. Wheein purposefully chose a calming tone as a stylistic choice for this album. The beauty is you can interpret it how you want since it holds many meanings depending on what walk of life you are in. Can't wait to see you react and review to 'In the Mood', it's rather an adult album for Kpop standards.

wheein is a huge fan of alice in wonderland, so the references to that in the mv were very much purposeful and myriad. the most blatant one being the sign on the door she walked through right before the falling/floating scene, but there are so many more subtle ones scattered throughout. as well as so many butterflies and flowers (including a lot of magnolia blossoms, also associated with her and her mother)

Dato curioso: ella ganó un premio con "make me happy" y cuando anunciaron al ganador, ella se sorprendió mucho porque era su primera cancion en otra empresa y comenzó a llorar (hay un video de eso), casi no podia hablar por las lagrimas y tampoco cantar, ganó con 4 o 6 puntos de diferencia; la presentacion en vivo con el traje de gatito, fué porque dijo que si ganaba iba a salir con un disfraz y asi lo hizo (creo que en un comentario ya dijeron eso).
