@@nunim2496 Mrs. Mamie Till had said that Emmett Till " had a "speech impediment" and that when he got nervous or something like that some words comes out like a "whist". Emmett Till cousins didn't know that he had that problem. That made it sound like a whistler. I don't know if you remember or how you are. When Carolyn Bryant was about eighty-three years old many years ago. She admitted that she had lied on Emmett Till. Mrs. Mamie Till had died and didn't get to know the truth. Remember when those brothers admitted they had lied after they was acquitted because they couldn't be trial again. With a lot of information on social media you maybe able to Google that information and be able to read it for yourself and let me know. . But, back then we heard it in the news. @@lindataylor5704 the cousins described the whistle as a “wolf whistle”. The type of whistle a guy makes when he sees a beautiful woman. They also stated that Emmett begged them not to tell their dad what he did. So yeah, he definitely whistled at her. It had nothing to do with having a speech problem. Yes he did whistle at times to help with his stutter, but at that particular moment, he wasn’t doing that.

Thank you, I too appreciate her forgiveness; but the men who murdered Emmet Till as well as the woman who pointed him out should be prosecuted for their crimes because unlike them Mr.Till can't get a second chance and they were always remorseless. They are a bad example to young people and especially to their own children and grandchildren that you can get away with the murder of an innocent teenager.

Her story extended much further than america l grew up in a racist family and probably would have ended up the same way except one of my teachers was aware of my families racism he took me aside and taught me about Emmett Till when I was 10, I'll never forget the visiral reaction I had to seeing his photo it made me nauseous angry and sad that an adult could do that to a child not much older than me any child no matter their color, He told me this is what hatred does to people it fills them up so they can justify any action no matter how depraved I don't see my family any more but my heart doesn't have to be weighed down by the pointless hatred they carry bless you Mrs Mobley and thankyou for your courage and wisdom.

It's a color we did not ask to be God made us this way that was his choice not ours . Racisim has a face and its red hate is ugly if this dont change where is the hope we as people need to be with one another not against one another let's get this thing right and stand strong as one not divided teach your kids when they are comeing up to love everyone no matter what ethnicity they are then the change will come and ingorance will be gone it starts with the parenting". I know this speech was given many years ago. Today, on a frigid January day in 2022, I found this and it’s brought me to my knees! The dignity, grace, and great beauty of this woman is amazing. She’s right, unforgiveness will destroy your soul. I really needed this message. Blessings on her soul, I hope we can chat when I see you again 🌈💐

I have so much respect for her. She didn't let Emmitt's death stop her. She used her strength and energy for so much good. I wish I was as strong as this beautiful woman was. I know I wouldn't even come close. RIP Mrs. Mobley. I'm happy you and Emmitt are reunited for eternity.

I can imagine as a teacher that she helped to guide many a student in a positive direction. She probably used the love that she had for Emmett to help her to help other people's children. May they both rest in peace with the love of God
