And not to mention, _super weird_ that the closer relatives of the Bryants have still not come forward/doubled down on Carolyn being innocent, you'd think they would want to wash their hands of that especially after Carolyn is dead now.

@@MissusAnon double down how? Carolyn wasn’t innocent! Her lies cost a young boy his life. It’s better to deal with things head on in life rather than trying to be done and wash your hands of it. The Emmett Till Family can never be done with it. He was a young boy that got brutally murdered. Justice was never received, That’s why it made National news. It was started with a lie, covered up with more lies. But you can’t bury the truth.

@Brujo X Jesus wasn't a white man, some people use religion as a means to their own ends, that is on them, I do not push my spiritual beliefs on anyone or condemn theirs, even if you took religion out of the picture, it is human nature to fight over resources, I would like you to look at the world from current to ancient history and tell me a time and place where there was true peace, as long as man has existed there has never been a time like that, all we can do is try to rise above, it is the only way we will evolve and survive but man as a whole, worldwide, will destroy our existence, in the end all we can control is ourselves. May you find inner peace and have it stay with you.

Wow… Emmett’s mom was just pure class! How she was able to even stand composed after what happened to her little angel idk but to have the strength she had to show the world what had been done to Emmett? That is just awe inspiring. I can’t imagine the pain of losing a child let alone like that, but she had one hell of a set, cuz she was not about to let her baby go in the ground without the world seeing what those monster did to him. God bless her. She changed the world that day and her son paid the ultimate price because of a lie! There aren’t enough words to express the outrage. Miss Mamie and your dear son Emmett continue to RIP.

His contribution was in his sacrifice.. it's hard to say it but its true... there was over 600 lynchings in Mississippi but his was the one that brought change.. his mom understood why it had to happen and that's why God erased the hate she had for his killers from her heart. She still was hurt but she didnt hate and that matters, people who hate others find it hard to help. And Ms.mamie helped so many children and did not show hate for white people even though they took away her only child

Thank you so much for teaching about Mr. Emmett Till's early years. It filled in many questions I had about his early life, and family ties. May he rest in peace and may we never forget what happened to him. Gratitude to his brave mother for *showing the world undeniably* what happened to him. 😢 Edit: my edit was to just change the spelling of his first name. You don't just have to 'say his name' correct, you also have to 'spell his name' that way too.

As a black young woman I feel this needs to happen and we need to listen things have gotten better overtime but sadly have not changed. It is extremely important for us to educate ourselves on our history because every generation needs to know. It might be hard to grasp, we will cry 😢 fall to the floor and get so angry we punch a wall but this needs to happen and it is important we don’t just watch what took place but learn from it.

I believe regardless of if the accuser lied or not, Emmett would still have died at those murderers’ hands for the simple fact people where talking and that husband looked like less than a man if “someone” was not made an example of for talking to his wife. Pride, racism, hatred for the African American race is what killed Emmett. It was sad alone that families had to “prepare” young black boys if they traveled down south. It gives me peace to know that God reigns on the just and the unjust. The murderers and EVERYONE involved will be dealt with. May God have mercy on them.

I know hate is a waste of burden to carry but to think that b**** got away and lived a full life and is still living to this day is the most disheartening part of this case ….her days are very near …I know she scared to meet her maker….a cold life to live

I'm a white woman in my 50's never heard of Emmet until Dave Chappelle spoke about him at the end of one of his routines, I researched it and was mortified by the details, I was born at the start of Generation X, I grew up in a mixed community and school was the same way, it is important for kids growing up now to know our true history, not as the racist say to shame or guilt people for their predecessors but so they understand where people are coming from and can make changes, John 8:31-32 “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

@@dc7424 Exactly, what's so funny is so many parents in VA were concerned about this being taught in school and it isn't, the republican party just made it an issue to get Youngkin elected, his underage son tried to vote and was caught but you won't see him in jail like anyone else who would try that crap.

Beautiful mother and son so tragic a time in our lives when prejudices we're commonplace we must learn from these tragedies of recklessness of hate and of Destruction to other men or women just because of the color of their skin. Stop it now people, stop it now for the decision is within us all each and everyone of us!

All those that did this and never repented will meet the same fate for eternity. All those who excuse this and downplay it will meet the same fate. The children looking up and celebrating it. The adults raising them to be evil all will be cursed for eternity. The time is coming. That’s the only thing that gives me solace. I know their hate will consume them and that’s fine by me

Ya know it's probably a good thing that i wasn't alive back then. I just couldn't sit around and watch people be mistreated because of or regardless of their race. You don't treat people that way. I'd have flipped out. So I'd have most likely been in jail or killed. I mean what kind of monster thinks this is OK?? 😡😡
