I recently acquired the RB. Even though I’ve only taken 1 single photo so far, I’m already in love with it. Would’ve loved the Mamiya 7 but the eventual electronics failure worries me too much. Also, looking through ground glass is a religious experience.

Great video. Thank you for posting it. I was very pleasantly surprised at how great the Cinestill 800t photos turned out.

I consider 90mm to be disconcertingly wide on 67 format for close head / head and shoulders and the softness / focus choice/ blown highlights less than ideal, but first days are what they are and it is a subjective medium. If your paying clients buy into your aesthetic there you go. I dumped the Mamiya after some experimentation, opting for Pentax 67 bodies and lenses and never looked back.

You should really look into getting a Prism and the Grip for the RB. I shoot with a RB67 Pro SD and for me these accessories are a game changer.

Going to look into it!! I've heard great things about them!

Does it work with the pro
@kollegekool4 жыл бұрын
@@waveyvlogs Yes the prisms and grips work all with the Pro / Pro S / Pro SD. So you always should look for the newer ones no matter wich version you have

That 90 mm Sekor C is really sharp and lots of detail from a T grain film like Portra. But I wouldn't shoot head shots with a 45 mm equivalent. Getting inside 4' and the facial distortion isn't as flattering as going the other side of 50 to an 85 equiv, the 180 from 6' would look much better. Even the 127 (63 equiv) from say 6' and cropped would still give that great perspective. And because you have 3.8, you may want to consider stopping down one or 2 stops You probably only have about 3 inches dof and that calls for some mighty fine focusing as in several shots both eyes aren't sharp. For that kind of shootin, like Sgt. York, I always wet my sights, I mean viewfinder. Gobbling at your subjects gets their attention.

@@AI-Hallucination yeah tbh, and the price too 😬
@AI-Hallucination4 жыл бұрын
@@erinmontoya1128 yeah the price is crazy its 15 18 quid a roll in the UK. 10 quid processing 28 quid i can get hp5 chems and become a better photographer i am going to get some slide film i have herd a few Japanese camera designers talk about how they designed the cameras for that probably Kodachrome because thats what pros used to use.
