It's cool to see the original design for how they looked when they were younger to how it traveled to their Mamma Mia: Here we go designs. Sam's hippie look for the eclectic life he lived when he ran away. Bill with the long surfer hair and Harry with the leather jacker.

Had to make it them look a bit more appealing so they could be taken seriously as love interests for the movie. In the first film their younger appearances were played off for jokes, so they needed to change it up a bit the second movie.

@@neurotic3015 nah, it was the fashion style back then. They just completely ignored it in the 2nd movie because the audience wouldn't have taken it seriously. But it's completely dumb, now them in the past look more modern than the first movie. Hate the 2nd movie for it.

i just love the movie.. it is one of the best of all times and the music kept me going every morning with cancer to get going, even when i was bed ridden. :) i never understood why they showed the guys so differently, more modern looking than they looked in the first movie, showing them more hippi stages. that was odd. but still was great despite that part.

This was the last play me and my lover got to see together before he succumbed to a stroke on January 9, 2017. We had been together for 33 1/2 years. He suffered for another 18 months in long term care until he passed on August 11, 2018. He was buried August 22, 2018 with full military honors. I know this was the last show that brought him joy. In fact Dancing Queen was played at his memorial.
