This is crazy how well this fits and describes Doug's emotions and motivations. He regrets his actions that led to his family's demise and misses them terribly. He ends up working for Bierce in hopes for a second chance/chance for redemption, or to make things right for his family anyways. He doesn't even know if it will be worth the pain and horror but continues on anyways because it's the only chance he's got.

This is the first time that I see someone interpret what happens throughout the game so well, it was incredible. Poor Houser, well no but yes. Malak and Bierce Dancing give 100 years more. And it's funny how the song fits well even though nothing to do with it.
