Mammoth Cave National Park and Campground

I visited the cave in 1977 with my husband and it was a great place to visit. I had nightmares for many years after I had to climb up that fire tower inside the cave after seeing how tall it was. I had many dreams about that tower for years and years. I guess we need to go back and make more memories. I am sure there are more things to see too. We stayed in one of the cabins.

Sorry to hear about your nightmares. That is horrible. We didn’t have the opportunity to check out the cabins. I would suggest going back. I would like to go back and do another cave tour and hike a few more trails. Plus do some night hiking for star gazing. One nice thing about this National Park, is the gateway city is not too crowded like Gatlinburg (Great Smoky Mountains) and Bar Harbor (Acadia), etc. So it is easy entrance and exit to the park.
