I was in the ICU last year for 5 days. When I was admitted my blood pressure was 190/150 and my heart rate was almost 200 beats per minute. I was in Afib with Tachycardia. The doctors told me it was 50/50 that I was going to survive. I had taken T3 to make weight for a martial arts tournament. It crashed my thyroid. A normal thyroid range is 0.5 to 4.0. I usually fell in the 1.5 range. My TSH in the ICU was 0.016. In other words, my thyroid had completely stopped working and it set my heart to overdrive. I'm now on 3 different meds for my thyroid and heart and they all have terrible side effects including lethargy and ED, severe ED. I've paid a steep price for my ignorance of using stuff like T3. Anyone taking T3, Clenbuterol or even many Sarms, is seriously risking your health and your life.
@bums0095 ай бұрын
How much did you take? I had my thyroid removed age 18 after being diagnosed with graves disease age 11, they put me on meds to suppress it all those years hoping it would burn itself out naturally but it didn't so I had the surgery. Thyroid issues are no joke, I'll need to take thyroid replacement medication forever, I get tested regularly and things can get out of balance so fast. The worst thing about it is that general practice doctors don't know shit about it. So I've had to learn a lot myself and learn to read my own test results too. Good luck with it.

Caffeine/amphetamine overdose can be treated with a benzodiazepine like midazolam or lorazepam, which are sedatives. Beta blockers like metoprolol can also be used to help control heart rate if the amount of benzos required is too much or would necessitate intubation. This helps lower the blood pressure and prevent malignant cardiac arrhythmia.

I never felt physically great or accomplished in my goals until I gave up caffeine. Let's be honest and call this what it is: physiological and psychological addiction. When you get headaches from not having coffee - that's drug withdrawal (full stop). Coffee is inexpensive to produce, inexpensive to ship, and ridiculously expensive for the end user. There is no biological requirement for caffeine.

For anyone curious what extremely high blood pressure/heart failure is like, for myself personally, I could have shrugged it off as an anxiety attack. The way I started to feel (drowsy and a bit confused/stunned) plus the way I couldn't breathe was different though. Worked at a chiropractor's practice at the time and one of the chiros said he couldn't read my bp and another who was also a firefighter volunteer told me to go to the hospital because I was around 240/180 (certain about the 240, uncertain about the 180, but around there). My heart rate was well over 150bpm and I was laying down. I was embarrassed for some reason so I took myself to Urgent Care. Literally had to pay $100 before I was seen even though I kept telling the receptionist, "I am about to go out I need a wheelchair stat, it feels like I'm dying" and I was fading more and more. I still couldn't breathe, couldn't scream for urgency (out of air like I just ran for my life) and after paying I was finally brought a chair even though I was damn near on the floor by the time they got to me. I really couldn't feel anything else other than not being able to breathe until I started seizing out. Idiots thought I was doing it on purpose and instead of transferring me onto a bed, they held me down in the wheelchair and told me to stop moving (you're not supposed to do that). 😒 They basically all watched me die and when they realized I was medically dead, they took me seriously. They did CPR for over 8 minutes until the paramedics came in and AED'd me. I had a terrible time. I came to mentally after I thought a man whispered in my ear, "if you keep this up, you'll stay here," which was simply darkness. As if I were sleeping and not yet dreaming. Was transferred over to an actual hospital and a nurse who wasn't there when I died tried to convince me that I had an anxiety attack. She wanted me to go into the mental ward which doesn't even make sense even if I did have an anxiety attack. I wasn't suicidal or trying to harm myself or anyone else nor was I so depressed I needed a psych eval. I told her to stfu and get me a doctor. The doctor I was assigned asked a few questions and later confirmed heart failure. I couldn't move for hours, I was temporarily paralyzed from chest to feet and trying to move my finger a cm was nearly impossible. It's like when you're a kid trying to see if you have telekinesis and absolutely NOTHING is happening, that's the kind of paralyzed I was. I was treated so poorly I decided to go home and say screw it, if I die again at least I'll be home. Had to sign a waiver that it was against doctor's recommendation and I couldn't sue if blah blah blah and left. Again, for myself personally, cramps during PMS and what not are far more debilitating pain wise than actually dying from heart failure. I am biased though because I have terrible OBGYN issues and I've had severe trauma and anxiety that results in an ability to stay calm even when I'm literally suffocating to death. My chest did hurt and I was very dizzy, but none of that mattered when I couldn't breathe. Because I didn't receive proper care, I have a few issues if I don't keep certain things under control, have PVC aka irregular heartbeat, but other than that I'm pretty ok.
