Did you see how close he came to hitting his head? No PFD (life vest) combined with unconscious most of the time means a drowning. Many people don't realize how easy it is to lose sight of a 'man-overboard' especially when out so far that no reference points are available. In the Coast Guard when anyone went over all hands in the vicinity were required to spot and hold a pointed finger out to the individual. In heavy seas visuals can easily be lost but a ball park last seen position is better than nothing at all.

That's how people get seriously injured or even killed. He could have easily hit the prop! Not good.

He was so lucky not to have lost a limb to those props. I've seen what a prop can do to a limb. It looks rather painful.

I always wonder if the captains of these vessels ever check themselves out on videos. This channel could be a learning tool for unskilled mariners.
@GameslordXY Жыл бұрын
Captains are not/should NOT be responsible for a likely grown up man not realising the dangers.
@chadwells7562 Жыл бұрын
@@GameslordXYWhat the f? A Captain is responsible for EVERYTHING that happens on his vessel. A passenger not wearing a life vest and sitting in a dangerous spot is 100% on the captain to regulate.

As someone who has felt a prop cut into his flesh, this dudes extremely lucky he fell to the right and not more to the left. Never sit on the back when underway especially in rough water like this.

That's why you wear a life vest. It happens so fast, there is no time to react. This guy was Blessed and very fortunate!

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale A tale of a fateful trip That started from this tropic port Aboard this tiny ship The mate was a mighty sailing man The skipper brave and sure Five passengers set sail that day For a three hour tour, a three hour tour The weather started getting rough The tiny ship was tossed If not for the courage of the fearless crew The minnow would be lost, the minnow would be lost The ship set ground on the shore Of this uncharted desert isle With Gilligan, the skipper too The millionaire and his wife, the movie star Professor and Mary Ann's Here on Gilligan's isle
