I was exactly in the same situation like him last year 2023. I met this young lady virtually, we face time, talked everyday and she looked pretty but when I went to meet up with her and take her out for dinner, I didn’t get butterflies in my stomach I felt the iced bucket challenge as soon as I saw her. All my excitement was cold(gone) and I had zero attraction towards her. I friend zoned her immediately but I did take her out to dinner and we hang out at her place until 2 am but nothing happened, I didn’t even sit close to her 😅.
