Rejection is painful. Beating yourself up when you’ve been rejected makes things even worse. Jay Shetty urges viewers to avoid taking rejection personally and instead take it curiously.

I didn't get my high school diploma coz I failed a few subjects, so that was really hard on me. My mother is very unsupportive and honestly it feels like I failed her, but she basically just rejected me and threw me aside since I found out I failed. I know it's not her fault but she never gave me support and motivation and I can't even remember the last time we had a heart to heart convo, she's just so inlove with my stepdad and sometimes it feels like she chose him over me. I'm just so depressed coz I feel like I'm all alone. I just kiss my father. So my 2019 was horrible, but I'm ready to rewrite my exams this year and I know I will pass. This time I'm looking out for my own.

Hey it's Mechalen Do what you have to do and prove your mother wrong about you. If she doesn’t give you the support you deserve, be your own cheerleader. Give yourself the love and encouragement you need. We often spend too long expecting others to give us the love we deserve, but the truth is, they may never. Keep watching motivational videos like this, read inspirational quotes, pray, talk to yourself, do whatever you have to. Prove to your mum and your stepdad that you don’t need their support in order to achieve in life. I’m sure your dad will be proud of you for that. Sometimes you are rejected and there is no second chance and the dream opportunity is gone forever. That requires a different skill set than just getting up and trying again. Sometimes, you simply cannot try again. The dream is gone and over. Very few people know how to overcome that. One never truly overcomes the death of a child. And no other children can fill that gap. It can be the same with dreams and careers.
