As a bowling alley mechanic, I can say that what he did was possible but highly unlikely in real life. Those are AMF 82-30 pin spotters. He has his arm caught between the shuttle and the yoke which means he was probably clearing a pin in the table. He did this whilst the machine was operating which was incredibly stupid and if in my bowling centre, it's sackable.

Definitely not the smartest move, for sure, I was trained in the way that no matter the fault, you isolate the pair of lanes before attempting to work on them in any way, though I didn't work on hydraulic systems, our pinsetters were the type that used strings and cables, still a chance you could get tangled if not careful, that's also why you have a lock in the power switch, so when you turn it off and lock it, nobody can just waltz behind and turn it on again.

@@ventexeagle4635 once in a while i do help in my bowling center (i am a regular bowler) but i am in charge of their computer equipment. Whenever i go in the back to clear a jam or anything of that nature, first thing i do is turn off the breaker no matter how stupid the problem is. you never know. Plus also that turns off the lights on the lane so hopefully the bowler will get a cue that 'oh i better wait until it comes back on'

@@stevebelanger2448 same here, had a 3 step protocol before working on a lane, put down the land guards, switch the pair of lanes off by the main breaker, then turn off the lanes high voltage boards. Even when the pinsetter was all strings and no hydraulics, accidents could still happen, though I can fairly blame utter negligence from my co-workers

Tips: If you Roll your ball Dont go close to the pins It has laser sensor that Sensors the ball but it dosent know if it is a human or ball, The sensor will send a Message on the control center, control center will Count to 20 or 10 seconds to fix all pins , The pins that are Turned over Will be send In the converyors then it will put into the pins fixer.

I work on pinsetters and always turn the machine off when reaching in. You can get caught up in the machine in many different ways. This was an AMF 82-30 pinsetter. This case he had to been clearing a pin jammed in the cups. When he got then pin out the cups snapped back to their home position and crushed his arm. That’s why you never reach into the spotting cup system.

Actually, when you go down the alley, it pushes you back and then there in this place in the back and when the pins get picked up and set back standing, you're able to crawl back out.. unharmed.

How this could happen is: First of all there is a sensor which will be informed to a machine But the sensor cant recognize if its human or not so whether human or not u will still be blocked up by the machine where it gets new pins and then u will be slide by a conveyor belt that will crush ur bones There is likely a low chance of coming out unharmed
