Well he was in fear for his life. Have you watched the full video? He shot him because he thought the man had a weapon. He was wrong and now must face the consequences for his actions. Absolute tragedy all the way around. A man dies for no reason and the officer that killed him must face justice. So many things were wrong. The deceased man right hand was at his waistband in an awkward way when approaching the officer. The officer was too fearful and acted to quickly, prior to seeing a weapon.

Well what's really sad is its not just in that city it is happening all across this Country. Since 2015 cops have shot and killed over 1000 people every year nearly 3 people a day compare that to how many cops have been killed this year which has went up 44 cops have been killed in this Country last stats I saw through November at least and 4 by accidental death (my guess on that friendly fire shot by cop trying to kill innocent civilian but that's just my guess) so when cops talk about this day and age and about for thier saftey it makes me want to scream out at them that in this day and age a innocent unarmed law abiding citizen is 21 times more likely to get shot and killed by cops then cops are to get shot doing there duties period. And that is just talking about Civilians getting shot and not even talking about all the other ways cops have to kill civilians. So in this day and age it is 21 times more dangerous to be a unarmed law abiding citizen who has committed no crime than it is to be a police officer in this day and age.

What about brown on brown murders or black on black murders the cop was an idiot however everyone knows that he feared the man that still doesn’t give him an excuse to shoot the guy put yourself in a cops shoes with all the lawlessness that goes on you would feel somewhat jumpy and worried everyone you get a call especially at night and be somewhat over protective it’s still wrong though and that cop will be accountable for what happened. If people paid more attention to how they live there own lives and not stereotype themselves and program themselves not to be the ones that are predictable maybe their wouldn’t be so much conflict when the same race or color of people murder each other it’s 99.9 percent of the time it’s done purposely and that over exceeds how many people were shot by the police no one ever wants to acknowledge that

And as far as how many cops have been killed I found that with the same search from there I simply used basic math 1000+/48= roughly 21

@@blackcat3941 Yes, killing unarmed black men unjustifiable isn't good, I don't disagree with that. Not sure what that has to do with what I said though, with all due respect. Shooting at any unknown sound or movement. The act of a true coward. This ‘officers safety’ crap is the problem. When law enforcement was first started, it included DANGER PAY, as does a portion of their wage now. So why are we still paying the cops the danger pay portion of their wage? Since we see cops refusing to render aid to the school kids, the cops were cowering behind their patrol cars. We also hear this ‘for officers safety’ when they are depriving citizens of their rights, just so cops can do their job safer. But it goes to far. I’m just surprised a citizen hasn’t used these news stories, videos and endless instances of cops shooting unarmed innocent citizens as a defence to kill a cop. This video is prime example. Cop comes to your house. Do you wait peacefully and patiently for them to murder you? No, from now on you just shoot them dead before they get to you. Then after you are arrested and at trial, your lawyer plays video clips of this murder and countless others. (It would help if you had these videos in your viewing history). The only statement you ever make is “I was so scared. The cops were coming to kill me. I was just so scared. I was going to die. I was so scared.”. Then when the DA challenges your statement you just say it again. If it is what you believe, then it is. And you have multiple videos to backup your fear. Just challenge the judge to pull up the most recent 100 police videos. If they’re lucky 5 of them show a cop doing good, but most will all be about a cop killing, beating, stealing, drunk, and other types of criminal activity. Law enforcement can no longer be trusted.

I think they lowered the standard to be a police officer in order to be able to fill the ranks. Since 2001 it seems like everyone has a Police dept which drives up the demand for qualified LEO's. Most of these departments have to take whomever applies. If not, They come up short on personnel. It's a basic supply and demand issue. Demand is high, while the supply of quality people is low.
