Saw them open for Modest Mouse in Mpls in the aughts - blown away by their antics - seems like this era, but i remember them doing barrel rolls on stage and pulling out random instruments from a big wicker basket. Definitely outclassed MM who was sorta phoning it in, though I'm sympathetic for bands on a long tours when they have to travel a long time to get here.
