0:25 Always had a problem with this. This is one of the reasons why I like Pitch Meetings so much. They don't spare the idiocy and plot holes of these scripts. Krytonian's: We're so advanced and altruistic that we won't execute murderers nor save anyone from our planet. Later Zod is willing to execute an entire species, genocide to the max.
@Cervando4 жыл бұрын
It's not altruism. They don't believe the planet is about to be destroyed until it is too late and the whole point Zod was banished was BECAUSE he refused to follow the rules of his society.
@flatebo14 жыл бұрын
Mike Munoz Yeah, Zod refused to follow the rules of Kryptonian society - a society he was genetically engineered over millennia to serve and protect, a society that he was hell-bent on flawlessly duplicating on Earth via the Codex and a terraformer in order to ensure that his New Kryptonians didn’t have superpowers, a society that he was so devoted to protecting that he was completely determined to destroy it just because the genetically engineered wise and benevolent world political leadership didn’t immediately adopt every proposal of a person not genetically engineered to be a perfectly dispassionate, wise and benevolent guardian of the public trust. Remember, vote Zod...or else.
@Cervando4 жыл бұрын
@@flatebo1 His actions were all due to the belief everything he did WAS in order to save Krypton from itself and later he tried to create a New Krypton on Earth. It really makes perfect sense as he stuck to his code of protecting Krypton.

"We're so advanced and altruistic that we won't execute murderers nor save anyone from our planet." Never stated in the movie. And even if it was not a plot hole cause last I checked species don't tend to have the entirety of its members all act and think the same.

@@thereccher8746 Correct, that is _MY_ statement. My entire comment is about a species that has advanced technology that refuses to save itself despite having ample ability to do so. Don't do III. No one should have to suffer through III. Also, I and II, yes. One amazing movie, and one okay movie, that should absolutely be reviewed in a pitch meeting together (fun fact: Superman and Superman II were originally meant to be shown immediately following each other, like a roadshow). Maybe also add a joke about the original pitcher (Richard Donner) getting sick of his boss not getting off his back, then leaving.
