I wonder who actually "knows" what it means. If you're basing humanity on visceral impulses to drive forward, you might be onto something. But big cats and apex predators have that urge also. I look through human history and it would seem that the bold have a period of decadence where what they do is only as good as the environment they shape, the people they can influence. Humanity is actually really awesome, but it happens in spurts. I think it comes down to a certain encoding that compels us to look at things through a lens of justice. When we can abide by it, we might get a decent beat on what's true

DC are really good at animating Kryptonian speed and power in combat imo you could even see little sonic booms with their punches in the IHOP fight scene

Half expecting that after the "Hey asshole, don't forget your tip" It would've shown the door handle somewhat bent or crushed when he went outside. Great movie.

Someone who quite literally towers over you and yet is immovable shouldn't be someone you want to pick fights on.

this is what the Marvel movies miss. The Feel. They mix serious things with fun.

The way they fumbled this franchise is devastating. They had something so good here. The cast. The music. Then they got silly thinking they needed to play the same game as Marvel.

I gotta say, they picked the PERFECT cast for this "Superman". Kevin Costner, Henry Cavill, etc...
