I am so glad that you made this video so that foreigners are starting to understand about finding a Cambodian woman. foreigners think that finding a woman in Cambodia is the same thing as finding a Thai or a Vietnamese woman. Surprisingly, it’s totally different. Cambodian women are very traditional and very conservative. Cambodian people are genuinely very friendly, kind and humble but very shy. Generally, they don’t approach you first. You have to approach them if you want to make friends. Once you have friends connection, it’s easy to find a good wife in traditional ways. No matter how handsome you are. She will not fall in love with you that easily until she knows your background. That’s why it takes longer. She wants to make sure you are serious. Not just dating for fun. The easiest way is to have friends first. Cambodian women are not interested in short term relationship but long term. Cambodian women don’t like men who flirt. Traditionally, Cambodian parents taught their daughters how to cook at early age. Every woman supposed to know how to cook when they’re turning into a woman. The very fact that you jumped to this conclusion shows our cultural orientation towards the world. We see a few data points and try to put together a theory. We know something exists, so we expect the inversion of it to exist. This is what it means to be an American, I guess. Maybe even an Anglosphere person or a Westerner - I don't quite know. But I worked for years in a Fortune 50 in China, and whilst I was trying to "understand' their culture by taking all the data points and putting them into a rule of "Most Chinese do X because of Y" blah blah blah almost like science.... I realized this mindset, even for guys there with all IQs 125-150, is seemingly alien. It isn't what they do or try to do when they hear something. People in the country side are more traditional and depending how much exposure they have to the outside world you might be in for a shock, meaning they might expect an engagement before you even go anywhere with the girl 😂. That sound you don't understand the culture quite well. Disregard the date or whatever, most of the Asian cultures have their way of who will pay the bill and how to ensure the fair share. For example; a person paid but if next time you let that person paid again, then they will classify you as a cheap and not a good partner. The exception is the face. Talking about the face, many times, I was ended up in someone who I didn't even know pay as part of their relationship on the same table that I was there and the rest were theirs. I called to pay and a guy told the cashier, never mind. That is meant, he paid the bill for the entire table in question.

My understanding of Khmer law is that if you are married (registered) any assets gained INCLUDING anything in a Trust company and income earned from that company are ASSETS of the marriage pool and can be divided on seperation. The speaker should gave have said this. The solution of course is to set up the Trust company before forming a relationship or at least befors marriage. Regardless income from that company will also become property of the spouse.

With all due respect for Cambodian women, as everyone is different and it is not possible to generalize, but hey, we are in year 2024, the era of social, tik tok, instagrams, etc and Cambodian women are still ... women :) while there may be some differences between groups, cities, provinces .... I think they still have the same problem as all Asian women...they have big problem in understanding the meaning of sharing and mutual support, and working together for the family. In other words, "what is yours, it is a common property, but what is mine, it is only mine". Also, I can't understand, when an Asian woman enters a relationship with Western man, and if Asian woman is working, she may even make more money than husband, but she will never ever share it. She will expect husband pay for everything. Which may be still understood...but the real mystery is....where does her money go .... as they may be making as much money , but they always have no money. I suspect they spend it to pay their ex Asian husbands and boyfriends LOL. To the ones that would argue...ah Asian women have responsibilities towards their families ( parents, etc ) no it is not always true, Asian families are big, many children, so Asian woman always have many sisters and brothers ... but for some reason....she is "the only one having to pay and support parents" ... think about it, guys. Okay I might be wrong, but guys... think about it ...

Based on the expats I met in Cambodia this is definitely not true ... Cambodians are just as obsessed with money as Thais and Vietnamese, probably even more so. Not sure how ppl came to this conclusion, have you ever looked around Phnom Penh and observed what you see?

Phillipines is fast becoming westernized (Blame social media like Tik Tok, IG etc as Filipinos are largest consumers in SEA). There are lots of single mothers in the Phillipines and I’ve dated quite a few Gen z Filipinas as I’m also relatively young and the topic of marriage hadn’t came up. The younger Filipinas are not traditional.

I’m very happy and can’t wait to see my girl friend in Cambodia, she is amazing, she is always happy when I call her and she enjoys talking and she lights up just to see my face. She have never asked for money and her family, mom and brother and very nice and relatives are good people. She agrees with a prenup and wants to work and start a family, never married or has never had a boyfriend. I picked her and she picked me, I like her because she is beautiful to me. She fell out of a three story building when she was 5 and in a coma for over a month and they thought she would make it, and looks like she has had a mild stroke which I think she looks amazing. She’s 34 and her family wants her to get married and she does to for when they get that old they start to see that no one wants her and that is kinda of diss honors her family. I want her she’s been perfect so far and working on marriage which we will get engaged in the spring……it feels right I have done my homework and it’s paid off so far…..

If someone chooses to live their life a different way, or in a different country, there's no need for you to go looking for negative reasons why. Most people that do that come off as bitter. They're living the life they were told they had to, and now they're miserable. For the record, Musto moved to Cambodia when he was a kid. I don't even know if he was old enough to have a choice. He stayed because he liked it.

Easier comes, easier goes. Filipinas are too religious. My Brother married to a Filipina and got divorced because of the religion he had to deal with. Every weekend he had to go to church with her, even on vacation, she had to find a church. Now, he is happily married to a beautiful young Cambodian girl with two kids.
