Its possible that Washington has weak laws. Not trying to make things political but the Democrats have ruined Seattle by their weak crime laws that judges , police and prosecutors have to follow.

So threats and extortion made him do it? How about he was under the influence of drugs. Try he was having a nightmare, or dude was sleepwalking, or suffers from mental problems, or a case of mistaken identity cuz he was trying to kill someone else but due to his mental incapacity he killed the wrong person🤦‍♂️🙅‍♂️

Then the mom of the killer had the nerve to say "the woman he will forever love" no ma'am that ain't love, killing is not love, abuse is not love!!! So much wrong in this case. This dude MURDERED this woman, ran her over to make sure she was dead and gets 17 years???! He was supposed to get a minimum of 25 years TO LIFE!!!! this is not justice. He's 23 now. He'll be released BEFORE he's 40 with time served. And will go out and start a new family and live his life. But mommy is gone and her families' lives is destroyed forever. This isn't justice to me

@MB-iv4mq what? Let me help ya out. Most alpha men wouldnt hand down such a pathetically weak sentence. There are irrefutable differences between men and women (psychologically and physically ). The way we think, act, respond, do violence etc have all been thoroughly documented. How this corresponds now is compared to 100 tears ago, there are a majority of women in the political sphere, education sphere, women vote more than men, college sphere, the majority for the past several decades has been women. You ever wonder why shit is falling apart now? Feminism is no good and women are trying to steal the masculine role in society and this is what we get, complete and utter disarray. This is only start too.Start picking up books and educating yourself my man, find god, empower yourself, it can be a cruel world out there.

"...the woman he will forever love...". Sorry. But I find it HARD to feel that you'd kill someone you love. You don't take the LIFE away from someone you love. You allow a love to LIVE and to GROW. You kill someone you HATE. He hated that woman, but hid under a disguise of love. It takes a MONSTER to take the life from someone's body. That's the furthest thing from love.

Yet, that person is gone forever, and the killer not only get a few years in prison and get free food and a place to sleep every night, they also get another chance in a few years after they've served their prison sentence to live a normal life, forever. Again, the person he killed is gone forever. That's just not right. Not sure why the killer can't spend his entire life in prison until he dies since the life he took is gone forever.

Judge Drew Barrymore states “this is one of the most egregious cases of domestic violence the court has ever seen.” She then proceeds to give a whopping 17 year sentence, kind enough to make the weapon charge concurrent. Great work, that will teach these abusers. The guy will be out in his 30s. Why did the reporter state “where he allegedly beat her”? Uh, he was “convicted” (sort of). It’s touching how his mother states that her son will always love his murder victim. This 3 1/2 minute clip is touching in so many ways, a wonderful start to my day.

She’s following the sentencing guidelines. If the guy has no priors, didn’t get a weapon enhancement, is not in a gang, hasn’t killed before, there’s no evidence of conspiracy or planning, then it’s a crime of passion, a domestic. She has to follow the guidelines. Gosh, so many citizens are dense and need to just educate themselves before making comments. Or get involved in politics to change the laws instead of just complaining.

But the reality is that if he doesn’t have a bunch of prior felonies, hasn’t killed or assaulted before, didn’t get a weapon enhancement or gang enhancement charge, or many other types of enhancements. Then he falls under the first time offender and he’s treated the same as anyone else. Doesn’t matter if she’s black or white or he’s black or white. In fact, race has nothing to do with it.
