Man, The Mario Movie Makes Me So Happy

my favorite part about the movie was the music, more specificly, how all the tracks played at the right time, for instance when peach was talking about galaxys the super mario galaxy theme started playing

That's also true! I would've been perfectly happy with simple remixes of certain songs but the fact that they mixed in a bunch of themes together and made it sound great was amazing to see

Alot of things could have gone wrong with the movie, but they decide to lock in and do things right

It was great, AND there WAS a reference to the original Mario movie--the rival plumbers and Yoshi. This whole movie was a love letter to Mario fans of all ages.

I'm glad the movie really turned out better than a lot of us expected. Usually that wouldn't mean much but since this technically an illumination movie, no fart jokes is a big accomplishment for them

movie was fucking amazing but the trailers did spoil a lot of the surprises that would’ve had me fr cheering in the movie like rainbow road and DKs first appearance

Oh 10000000% yes, sonic 2 and detective pikahu were great but this is on a whole other level. Maybe I need t sit on the movie longer and rewatch it to confirm that but as of right now I don't think many people will argue with that opinion
