Man Thinks Twice Before Getting Bit by a Police K-9 Again

Police in Eau Claire Wisconsin attempt to stop a motorcycle for speeding and it flees. The motorcycle then crashed and the operator fled on foot in the woods. A K-9 is deployed to search for the suspect, who gives up because of a K-9 bite on a previous incident.

He played them. He had something he needed to discard in the woods. He came back out after ditching it to take the lesser charges knowing they had his info anyways. Honestly, he played it the best way. He can probably even return later for his drugs and/or gun.

@@PTRRanger951 If they found him, they would have probably searched for items, his plan ( i believe), was that if he came out, they wouldn't search for items. And they didn't search further so who knows. He might have bet some serious charges. In fact, at the very end of the video, the female cop says "you should have just stopped" and he replied "NOOOO I shouldn't have". He definitely had something on him.

@@My_Crazy_Neighbor they probably did go back in and run the dog. The video doesn’t show the probably 2 hours they were out there. They dog picks up the fresh human scent of any article in the area, and they can be pretty fast at it. The issue is even if they found something, proving it was his is another story unless they knew for sure he was the only person in that area. Or they talked to him later and he admitted that it was his. I would have ran my dog if I was them. Or wait until he bails out, and then watch the area and see if he goes back there and gets what he left.

This is one reason why K9s are so important in law enforcement. Just the sight of them can cause suspects to surrender.

Oh shit would you look at that. A dude that ran from the cops, but ended up doing the right thing, listened to the orders and was treated with kindness and respect. I love how everyone always comments that these are how all officers should be. Yet you see it time after time after time across the country, but all different officers, of what happens when you just comply and don’t fight. Goes to show that 99% of the officers ARE like this. I’ve been in law enforcement for 20 years and never been accused of excessive force or being a racist. It has nothing to do with the color of someone’s skin, but their actions and their actions alone. Yes law enforcement has bad apples. But so do doctors, firefighters, commercial pilots, McDonald’s workers, trash people, every single job in the world has bad people working in the field. All someone has to do is cooperate. If you make law enforcement have to escalate a situation one level to control it, it is going to happen. It’s not a pissing match you can do on the side of the road. Save it for court. The last thing a cop wants to do is come to work and get into a fight or god forbid have to shoot someone. It’s not that hard for someone, anyone, stopped by the cops to shut their mouth for 5 minutes and listen to the reason for the interaction. Wrote that because there is always a comment in every video where a person that is not black is arrested and not hurt. Someone always says well it’s because their are not this race or that. It also goes to show how K9s can deescalate a potentially serious situation.
