They just say that a certain man is the father. @@bodirockbeats I mean, he might've apologized, for all we know. They didn't give us a lot of backstage footage in this clip. I just thought it was beautiful the way he was open to allowing him into their family so he could also experience fatherhood. And he was still respectful to Jaquan after it turned out he wasn't the father. I also loved that he trusted his daughter so strongly even though he turned out to be wrong, and he wasn't scolding her after that or anything, just realistic about how the test results didn't come back the way she thought they would. Overall he just seems like a super nonjudgmental person even though this segment was a test of character in many ways. Jaquan also seemed pretty cool, didn't call the girl any names like we're used to seeing on this show, but it was also nice to see a young man presumed to be a father not put into a situation that was ready to provoke him or make any insinuations about his character. I really think that's the girl's father's doing, the way he set up an unconditionally respectful environment for his daughter and the man he thought had a baby with her. He didn't instigate any tension between those two young adults, which is really rare on Maury.

Wow I thought that was so beautiful what the dad said to that young man..that nearly had me in tears😥 and although he wasn't the father of that beautiful baby, I can tell his feelings towards that young man were genuine and you can tell he really loves his daughter and his grandbaby. The father should apologize to the alleged father for saying he had no reason to not believe his daughter. Obviously there is more going on other than her grandfather dying and a breakup, which she says caused her to drink, party and have unprotected sex as a teen. I hope her father sees that. Sorry to say, but she kind of embarrassed her family coming off so confident and having her father back her up. She clearly needs help. I'll be looking for her next appearance(s) on the show.
