Ryan says he had a one or two-night-stand with Lavonne's mother and it took years for him to ever meet his daughter. Lavonne says Ryan was not a present father-figure for her and she believes that he already got a DNA test to confirm she was his daughter but still didn't step up. Can Karamo help this father and daughter build a relationship or will this DNA mystery leave them strangers?

💯💯 you're absolutely right!!! I wish more young men looked at the issue this way 😔 bc there are way too many young women raising children without any help from the fathers and it makes me sick!! Why wont these men be apart of these kids lives from birth bc once that child becomes an adult it'll be just as hard (if not harder) to form a trusting relationship with them bc they'll most likely be harboring so much resentment towards their dads 🙄 SMFH 🤦🏽‍♀️

@@Mecca1204 Close your leg's, or take birth control. Also, many men are taken advantage of and are lied to by these same women about not being able to get pregnant. How could a bond form if your only dating and not married to each other? Yet, it's alway's the man's fault! This is a major reason why men are leaving the west and finding real love overseas. We all tired of the games and manipulation of women.

You act as if the feelings she has aren't justified. Any person who is more concerned with being embarrassed than they are with the justified feelings of their kid doesn't deserve to have kids. Folks love to think that deadbeat parents are entitled to respect that they weren't even present to earn. Thank you!!! I actually wrote a whole paragraph here about it. This man has serious trauma. You can see it. Look at how tight he held his lips. He was petrified of rejection himself. He kept trying to talk but no one wanted to hear him. He apologized. It wasn’t acknowledged. He was publicly ridiculed and rejected. He’ll go on with this embedded in his heart and memory. Men’s emotions get overlooked so often. This is a prime example here. He took accountability then what? Still rejected. Come on! How much can a human handle when their previous trauma. He became emotional at the end when she rejected his hug. That hug wasn’t just for her, it was for him too.

The fact that people still feel for someone who had the knowledge that they’re child was theirs and still didn’t fight how they should’ve is appalling. Regardless of how he feels he should’ve gotten the help he needed! It’s never a child fault for something the parents are dealing with and they shouldn’t endure such pain because of it! He still has a hard time taking accountability and would rather point out the wrongs of his child who was only a child. The way she views him now as an adult is something he caused on his own he allowed her to create this image of him and did nothing to fix it and now it’s too late.

It can be enough to push people away. My brothers ex-wife was messy, my niece was a new born I never saw her again until she was 22 and we now have an awesome relationship. We didn't point the fingers or blame we just moved on. That man has feelings too, and he's hurt as well. Did anybody here she raised her fingers up at him. Now with that being said. He had a legal right to his child. He thinks this young woman should be respectful to him like a daughter would be to a father but he hasn't earned it. He doesn't recognize that, she also doesn't realize how disrespectful she is to him because he is a stranger who was tasked with the responsibility to love and protect her and he failed and won't just admit to that.

Don’t you think it’s odd he never told his kids there was a paternity test proving her to be his child and how he hesitated when asked about it? He reminds me of my father who is often incredibly insensitive with his words and actions and gives no forethought to how it might come across to other people. I had to finally accept that my relationship with him will never be one where I feel emotionally supported because he’s not that kind of person. Maybe because I had a father who was there and a mother who was willing to ALLOW his presence in my life is why I'm finding it hard after the conclusion of this segment to pick a side. Not to excuse his absence, but time has afforded men to have more rights to their children TODAY than it did 30 years ago. BOTH of their feelings are COMPLETELY valid. Both are ALSO triggered by abandonment and rejection. I think this woman is hard pressed on being angry and making him jump through hoops. Unfortunately, most men don't create bonds out of blood, but through time and resources spent. I can see him giving up on her in the near future if she continues the rejection he's faced from her mother and her mother's family.

As i read through these comments, I can't help but feel for this girl. People are saying she has a stank attitude or saying it's the mother's fault, there's such a lack of empathy for her, the pain she experienced, is still experiencing, the rejection she's felt. Even the sister corroborated the pain. I can say there's NOTHING a person could say to keep me away from my child. Yes, there are trifling women who make it extremely difficult for a man to be an active participant in their children's lives, but there are plenty of women who are very accommodating, yet the men don't even try. It's not a child's responsibility to it's our as parents to build and maintain relationships. It's our responsibility as parents to not cause pain like she is feeling. She didn't make the decision to be born but is paying for the decisions both parents made. My son had this experience. As long as i was willing to put up with the bs from his father, he was "dad." As soon as i stopped, the relationship stopped. It shouldn't be that way.

It won’t work with courts being pro women. There’s a point when the battling over a child in court affects the them just as bad. Unmonitored conversations take place in their household that mold a child’s attitude I was question why did I do so much and not receive the acknowledgment of who I was or what I do. The matriarch of the family, who was highly a respected elder by ALL the young ones said, “they are going to become a product of their environment”. I in return got defensive, but over 20+ yrs later that became the real. That matriarch has been gone 13yrs and all I can do is look toward the clouds and say, “I apologize, you called it”. Do you know the meaning of fighting a no win situation? Well, it does not escape scenarios involving a child. Someone has to be the wise one and notice the tolls it takes on the little ones and “stand still”. Elders say love them from afar and they will be back, if not pray always for God to cover them.

She still makes a lot of effort without trying to be overwhelming- speaking of I want to reach out to her and thank her for that. Exactly cuz it's always about the kids. Soon as they're here it's like you stop existing and it's annoying🙄

It’s her disrespectful attitude that kept him at bay. I wonder what responsibility she placed in her family for pushing him away. I’m not sure what she excepted him to embrace her after giving him middle fingers and cursing at him I would be bothered with her either

She would not have refused her father's hug..... Releasing her anger is the first step to her forgiveness... And we should acknowledge that this man also tried earlier but he found resistance from his daughter mother.....

He should have asked her to go backstage so he can talk with the dad uninterrupted.

IMO all are wrong. Her mother & grandmother told her that he wasn’t her father & pushed him away when he came to see her. They also lied to her from the start knowing that he was her father & it was proven through paternity. He didn’t try hard enough to be there for her like he should have that’s why she’s so hurt. Honestly, instead of only being mad at her father she should be mad with her mother & grandmother also because they pushed him away when he came to see her.

I hate, the father wasn’t able to state his pain.. he was told for years.. it wasn’t his daughter.. that’s a lot of pain for him.. he was treated a little unfair.. her mother should’ve been there to face the music!

I swear some men just don't get it, its actually frightening. Big sis you are lovely, l wish you were mine lol. Keep working on your dad, l hope he continues to grow through you. Little sis you really can't change the past so try to forgive as much you can, its the only way forward. And try to remain respectful.
