I found your videos to be almost meditative, largely just the pitter patter of your steps, your musings, and the thrill of seeing these far flung and frequently beautiful places. I followed you because I wanted to vicariously experience your world and perspective, because I found your thoughts insightful, and your endeavor rather inspiring. For any given moment or day, it can be mundane and it’s just about taking the next step. But on a grander scale, it’s an astonishing accomplishment. Your encounters with locals who were more often than not welcoming and warm helped reinforce my faith in humanity. Your perseverance when confronted with things like border crossings and even multiple sclerosis (which I also have) made my own challenges seem smaller and less daunting. This has been such a comforting and enriching presence, routine after a point, and yet endlessly remarkable. I am so excited for you to reach your home in Germany, but also sad for it to be over, and hugely grateful to have been granted the privilege to watch. You should be immensely proud, and confident that this journey will continue to be found and enjoyed by many people to come. Much love from N. Carolina!

I am happy and healthy, thankfully, and I do my best to lend my good fortune to others struggling with primary progressive MS and more significant challenges by volunteering in things like events and service days with the National MS Society. Not for nothing, I think your story may be something that could help raise awareness, even though it was not necessarily part of your motivation. Have you ever considered working with a producer to explore potential projects using your year’s of footage and writing? I don’t mean to suggest that it need be anything more than it already is, which is significant and a huge accomplishment on its own, I am just excited and happy to have been along for the ride. That was a very somber tour of the exhibition. A memorial to a more turbulent time in history where many innocent people lost their lives for the freedoms that many take for granted today. Thank you for this, we must never forget. 😞

Chris, I've been following you since 2014. KZbin recommended the original weird beard video and I was so inspired that I ended up spending an entire weekend reading your blog and getting caught up to where you were at. Short feedback from an enthusiastic follower. Unfortunately, I haven't followed you all the way. Started around when you were in Azerbaijan. It was at that time that I discovered you and your project. Anyway, why follow you? Because your project is fascinating. Because it is so special. So extreme, so unique. And you appear, at least on your blog and on these KZbin videos, as a nice and wise guy. I follow a few other adventurers as well. Not because I dream of copying your hardships, but... perhaps simply because what you do is so strange, incomprehensible, different and therefore exciting. I don't know if you care about a follower's reasons for following you, but if you do, enjoy:) And if you're wondering… -my own project in life, That is, the rest of my life, is painting. Create pictures. Not walking, running, sailing, cycling or riding a motorbike around the world. But that's another story.

Hey Chris, I’ve been following you since Iran I think. What you are doing is creating an epic in modern times. For me it’s the whole of the story you create everyday. Like each great epic you have remarkable moments and have created lore within this continuous story. Few people create stories worth telling in real life for the idea, the attempt, extraordinary perseverance and outlook on life you have my admiration. Like Bilbo Baggins you may look forward to putting down that final chronicle in book or film, rest a bit and find adventure calling again a little later. I’m sure it won’t stop as it seems to be in you to embark on adventures 😊

Do you think you will continue walking in the future? Like pick a country and walk through it? When you mention what countries were like for walking I always wonder what Argentina - my country- would be like to walk it north to south 🤔☺️
