Managing Calls, SMS, Whatsapp, Gmail notifications on Galaxy Watch Active 2

Can i text by voice on my galaxy watch active 2 even tho i dont have a line and just use Bluetooth? I get a notification that says i need to connect to a network.

Of course you can text using your voice but your phone must be nearby to send the message if you own the Bluetooth model.

@@SMARTWATCH_SERIES I do have the Bluetooth model and when I use the mic to talk it wants to record but then says, must connect to a network for audio input. Is there a setting that needs to be enabled? It once worked, then it stopped.

If I turn off phone's Bluetooth or I just walked away too far from it, my active watch 2 only receives SMS and calls, no Facebook, IG or Whatsapp notifications. Is that how it works or am I missing some settings?

Yes, you can use the watch even without your phone nearby. However, to receive notifications, make and receive calls, you need your phone if you own the Bluetooth model of the watch. Active 2 LTE model can make and receive calls without connecting to a phone.
