Hi, is there a way to secure your account to prevent other accounts/profiles to access your account? from what i can see, anyone with an account on the same chrome software can access other accounts easily.

When doing you option 3 - I have an existing personal chrome profile that I want to access from my work laptop. If I create a new profile will it change my existing personal profile extensions, bookmarks etc.

I also set up multiple profiles. For example, I have a "student" account for each period I teach so I can demo things with that account and the students see things as they would see them, especially when navigating Google Classroom. But I would really love to list them alphabetically like I see you did in the video. How did you do that?!

When I try to create a new profile I get a message that says, A Chrome profile with this account already exists on this devices. Switch to existing Chrome profile? Instead of getting the set up new profile option. Thoughts?

I have a question, I use my personal laptop for work with my current employer, when I access my Google account, it says it is a "managed account" and that the admin has access to my data. Question is, if I add another profile (like you showed on option 3), with another email can I be 100% sure my employer won't be able to access any of my data?

What happens if one of your Google Chrome accounts is hacked? Would this mean that all other linked accounts would also be affected? I try to separate them from each other. If one Google account is hacked, others should remain unaffected

I use method 3, but somehow, one of the accounts is now within my primary profile (it's now within the lower, larger icon list instead of in the tiny top icon list, where it used to be - no idea how this happened). I do not need to create a new account, I just need to put this one back within the profiles list in the tiny top icon list. Do I have to sign in and out to do that?

For Option 3, is there a reason why the "Add" option no longer shows up on my computer. It showed up for me at one point because I was able to create 2 other profiles a couple years ago but now the option no longer shows up for me and I don't know why. I've searched online everywhere and can't find an answer for this. I use a Mac computer

Need to switch between SEVERAL profiles based NOT on my name that Google shows, but the underlying email address. ALL the names are the same, so I can't see which profile I'm switching to without a big hassle. So I really need Google to display the email address at least on mouse-hover. Help.

Not in the stable channel. I had to go into my flags to turn on the LaCrOS feature to enable multiple profiles.

It did not work for me, I guess chrome has changed its policies. I can create as many chrome profiles as I want localy in my pc but I can only sync one profile with my google account. When creating a new profile I got the message "A Chrome profile with this account already exists on this device, Switch to existing Chrome profile?" It seems now in order to sync you need one google account for every new profile you make.

You can turn that on manually for now, until Google officially rolls it out. Basically you change a few settings to enable Lacros and then you can use multiple profiles at once. I have done this manual change for all of my Chromebooks and it works great. Yeah but... Eric, I want to MERGE my two profiles. Honest. I do much better the old way. I made a mistake by clicking on all the Chrome prompts. Now I've got big splits in all of my bookmarks and passwords. Can this be undone?

Hi, I have two Google accounts one for business and one personal. I don't want my bookmarks etc to sync but I do want my password to sync between the two accounts because on my phone for example I log in to business apps and personal apps and would love to be able to autofill business and personal. Is this possible or should I look to a third-party app like 1Password?

But the issue is that I only use one Gmail - email, even with several google accounts. And this creates an issue as then I get to the wrong gmail if I´m in a different google account in Chrome. And if I create a new / or use the other in Chrome, then ALL my saved passwords for years are gone. Don´t know how to solve this:/

If I use the third option and add family to my account would they be able to see any of my personal information?

the third option only adds the profile in that browser under that specific window user. You will not see these profiles on a different computer or a different window user profile. If for some reason your family member can open your window user profile, and access your browser with these accounts. Then yes, they can see what you can see.

No. you will need to lock them out of your windows user profile, and give them their own windows user profile. They will have to have a different windows login.
