These are my thoughts, as a person who is watching from the outside, on the CR7 situation: Tbh, I side with CR7 on that whole drama, even though I think a player should play for a club, and not for himself, and if you are underperforming, you must accept being benched. Ten Hag didn't accept his attitude and benched him, but they had no other striker (rashford is not a great number 9 IMO), and all the other criticism by Ronaldo is pretty fair. He isn't the first person to say the Glazers don't care about the club, just look at Mourinho, and if a club's owners don't care about their club and players, the rest of the staff won't care about the players as well, so saying they didn't show support for what happened to his kids throughout that summer is really plausible too. I guess he wanted to start the season slower than the other players, but Ten Hag and the club didn't side with him, turning it into a "Or you train and play with everyone else throughout the pre-season, or you don't play at all". Yes, Ronaldo is a professional athlete, and must train and perform in both big season matches, and the pre-season tours and warmers, but I also think that to treat a player who has given so much to the club like that when they lost a child and another child of them is sick in the space of like 2 to 3 months is not right I just think this whole situation is just one example that goes to show how disconnected United are from their staff, their players, and most importantly their fans. In a situation where both parties had their reason for frustration to the other, it feels like United did nothing to try and fix the situation. In my ideal world, Ronaldo would've ever done the interview, and would have kept trying to boost his performance in united until the end of the season, cause then he would have morally come out on top of united from that situation...

The Greenwood issue is neither here nor there, if the charges were dropped, then that ought to be the end of the discussion, innocence until proven guilty. The Anthony scandal, again, is under investigation, why he should be penalized for a private dispute, which happened outside his capacity as a Manchester United player, is beyond me. The presumption of innocence is a key part of justice, of all people an American should understand this, I would think. You dont replace a 17 clean sheet goalkeeper that had Maguier and Lindelof for a lot of the season
