Mandalorian season 3 is a Downgrade

The Mandalorian season 3 has wrapped up and its time to give you my review of Mandalorian. From Lizzo showing up for no reason, to nonsensical filler. Considering I liked the previous 2 seasons of Mandalorian I was surprised by the sudden drop in quality and it sucks to see this. its plane to see that Mandalorian season 3 is a downgrade. Grogu is the most useless character in the show as well. So its time to tear this show to the ground shall we.

Just such a massive letdown... the only decent recent SW things to come out is Rogue One and Andor... they truly missed out on telling a truly epic story. I'm still salty we never got to see Mara Jade.

Mandalorian was cool because it WASN'T epic-- it was low-key and personal. But I understand what you mean.

The entire season should have been set on Mandalore. A grand adventure across the surface of a glassed world, forcing the disparate groups of Mandalorians to learn that they need to work together to reclaim their home.

Mandalorians are my favorite SW lore too. I'm not invested in the movies/show(s) but my first exposure to it was Canderous in Knights of the Old Republic and the Bounty Hunter game.

6:29 That actually happened in the Battle of Galidraan, which was depicted in the comic Open Seasons. Except it was a couple hundred Mandos against a couple dozen Jedi. And not only did the Jedi win, they slaughtered the Mandos down to the last man and left only one survivor, Jango Fett, whose hatred for the Jedi led to him working with the Sith to help accomplish their Grand Plan to eradicate the Jedi Order. Oh, and one mouthy padawan from that battle killed 20 Mandalorians and later became a druglord. No joke.

yup, Fandalorians overestimate Mandos big time. It's called the Traviss effect. Caveat: I do also like Mandalorians, but their capabilities are exaggerated. My favourite Mando content comes from the TOTJ and KOTOR comics, as well as Open Seasons which you already mentioned.

8:58 Dude Grogu had to leave the ship to see that Din was captured. Then Grogu had to fly to another planet to get Bo-Katan and I'm pretty sure the droid did most of the flying.

The "Mandalorians" in TCW were a downgrade also. What are we doing here, why does Obi Wan have a gf ? We already have Anakin with a waifu, why are we doing the same story twice. Why are we making Obi Wan into a light side Anakin. Why is Anakin in this show just Padawan Obi Wan from Phantom Menace ? Why do they have the same personality. What ?

The show was so so so bad that I couldn’t finish it. I strongly suspected it would be a disaster based on The Blunder of Boba, but it was even worse than I’d feared… not worse than I’d expected, unfortunately, thanks to the catastrophe of Kenobi…but worse than I feared. I was really hoping it would maintain some semblance of the spark that the first two seasons had. That hope was quickly snuffed within the first couple of minutes. After a couple episodes, I had to turn it off.

The Mandalorian Was doomed when Kathleen Kennedy found out that it existed. The First season was under funded in my view, which is why the scenes are so small and the props so few. But none of the higher up cared that the Mandalorian was even being made. It kind of like the Bad Batch. The higher up don't even know it exists. But when she found out that it did, she wanted to add a as many cameos to sell other show, that we didn't want to watch as possible. Season 2 was only better because they increased the budget, and the writer had fixed some of their mistake form season 1. With Season 3 she found a way to make the Mandalorian into the Star Wars sequel. This season should of started with Din Djarin traveling with Bo-Katan and learn how the other Mandalorians lived (like the Nite Owls). While she taught him how to use the dark saber as well as how to me the Mand'alor( given that he holds the dark saber). This would help to build up her character, as well as gainers respect for her.

I think if Din was more involved in the retaking of mandalore this season wouldn’t feel so detached. And if they kept Grogu with Luke for this season so there’s an actual feeling of reunion when they do come back together. Like if they reunited in season 4 it would’ve felt better

@@ActuallyAndrewYT They didn't even get his ship right. Why is he flying a N-1starfighter. Where is he going to put a bounty? He should be flying a Mandalorian ship, like a Kom'rk-class fighter/transport.

Yeah it is a shame that he pivoted away from the bounty hunting lifestyle that the entirety of season 1 was built on. Very weird direction for the show to go in with the drastically different lifestyles presented in s1 and 2 to 3

The problem was using Bo Katan and portraying her as a hero. She sexually aussalted a child and helped enslaving an innocent village and then killing everyone from it. She is one of the reasons for her sisters death and about the most rude, hypocritical and unlikable character that exists. Imagine we got some other Mandalorian to take her role, a lesser known like Sabines Brother or Fenn Rau or someone completely new but no, Filoni needed another one of his OCs to take over.
