I have a community garden plot where I grew a 4x8 bed of corn last year. I'm not sure if it was squirrels, raccoons, or rats but half the ears looked like yours. The ears were shredded. This year I've planted a 4x12 bed in my backyard garden so I'm hoping the ears will be more protected from whatever ravaged my crop last year. Glad you were able to get a decent harvest from your corn though. I've discovered eating corn raw right off the stalk is surprisingly sweet and delicious! Cheers!

Well wish you luck on this years corn. Im growing a second area to be ready hopefully for the 4th of july. Only about 20 plants this time. Happy Gardening

I peel mine par boil it right away I have a pot boiling close then I freeze them in vacuum sealed bags best corn mmmm.
