As someone that has played apex from the start and consistently for years, the main thing that stopped me grinding the game so much was removing the dive trail ranked reward. I'm not going through the pain of solo diamond for a banner so I stop at D4 now. They need to give players a reason to keep playing apex and going from a cool reward to something worse was a bad move

i barelly play anymore because matchmaking sucks, if i go to ranked i'm in bronze but getting matched against plat players, which are diamond/master players climbing, if i play pubs sbmm puts me against kill grinders and masters/preds 3 stacking, tdm and control aren't fun anymore so thats it, im just playing some valorant and xdefiant, only game i can think of that has worse matchmaking than apex is warzone, i started playing the game and had 30 minutes in and i was going against lvl 1000+ ttvs

Dude, Mande has been talking about "declining viewership" ever since he stopped playin comp basically. Dude has no fun with the game anymore and tries hard to project his lack of fun on supposed facts that the game is "dying". In reality, Apex is probably going to get its viewership back as soon as comp tourneys start to happen more frequently again and new releases like Deadlock start to die down in their relevance. Even a smaller viewership for Apex is better than 70% of games can generate in the streaming space.

The only games that get balance updates multiple times per month are non-competitive, casual friendly games. Apex is a competitive game, it’s meant to have the same balance for a ranked split at the very least. How often does Valorant, OW, CS, or even one of his examples, PUBG, get balance updates? This isn’t Fortnite or CoD, and if you want a zany, unbalanced, ADHD friendly experience, those games are available.

I started playing in season 9, and I've bee seeing content like this the entire time I've played this game. Literally every season has dooming streamers, without fail. unless you're struggling to even get a match the game isn't really dying. it's in decline for sure, because it's getting old, but for a 5 year old game apex is doing extremely well. I expect 2 more years of support.

well i am struggling to get a match. try sydney servers. literally all you can play is trios (and mixtape) and that is usually only between a 6-7 hour window after everyone gets home from work. ranked used to be super popular but we can't even play that anymore even on low ranks. every time i join the ranked queue it just says "1 player in queue". the game is definitely dying and it is way more noticeable on servers with a lower population.

EA bought respawn because they saw TitanFall 2 potential for Apex. Its not their franchise really and they will just milk it for skins and BP (like you saw, attempting to only accept real money) till the game explodes (engine can't take it anymore) or other games just drown Apex into nothingness. Day one here, played every single season and grinded masters solo several times. The game fcked up at season 3 for introducing sbmm which was a campfire turning wildfire through each season. That was the beginning of the end. Season 5 happens, no hit registration happens. They don’t FIX it. Few seasons later they made it canon because they didn’t want to fix it. Audio has been cooked since i wanna say season 6 or 7 and still hasn’t been fixed. Other unfortunate bugs. Theres not remotely enough effort put into the game. If you actually cared about playing it you can see and feel the problems. Them removing movement features because people can’t cope and work on their aim was unfortunate. M&k players not being able to read their fights to catch on if they’re fighting rollers or not because their ego is huge ended up making an unnecessary change to target compensation which made little to no change, there are bad roller players just conveniently most good players are on roller. EA and Respawn simultaneously doesn’t listen to the community unless you are sponsored or a huge streamer for the game

No , Respawn kept it from EA. Respawn and EA have a "professional" relationship but they DONT LIKE EACH OTHER AT ALL. Respawn gave them like a month notice and then EA took over. Respawn are clowns themselves and we've seen many of the originals leave the company at very interesting "times" . Actually when the game was good and before all the soft cheats and hard cheats , how they built the game etc. Then EA gets a hold of it and microtransaction hel-l , then into virtue signaling badges etc. They had already made 1.5 billion in revenue by the 2nd year. Since this generation doesn't know how to push back against these companies, they kept buying overpriced heir looms they couldn't afford, skin packs, finishers blah blah blah. Notice it wasn't until the cheating was so bad by , well, we cant call out pros and top streamers they are protected but notice nothing happened until the really lost the core base and were not making money that was when they made changes. To late, people didn't come back but they don't care, they made their money. Any streamer complaining that is white listed needs to be quiet. They make money they would NEVER make in their lives and at their age would be working an entry level job if that. I care more about the core player base that actually makes EA their money not a select few who don't. FPS/br are slowly dying. The massive amount of cheating, TOS agreements broke all the time by streamers and pros and nothing is done. Its ALLL FOR CONTENT right? Sad times. CHild they never wanted yet made them billions in revenue? Hmm, they are in to make money. RESPAWN is who treated TitanFall like crap and crapped on it. I started thinking apex was dying when I noticed something. I basically only watch Hal stream apex and he would average between 10 and 14k viewers. I watch his streams now and he’s averaging 6 to 8k viewers.
