It's actually the exact opposite. Dezign is an IGL at heart and that's why it's so hard for him to blindly follow calls, even when they're good. He had the exact same issue with ZachMazer during the first iteration of Elevate Gaming (Chaotic, Dezign, Zach).

Two mistakes in that first clip. Dezign ignores Timmy's call as the igl which is a shambles. And then in the endgame Timmy just goes quiet and doesn't make the call to either play for the win and go height or just play for second and fight the bottom team. Still early tho, hope they can straighten things out.

That’s the thing though, in the heat of the moment Timmy can’t just do a whole breakdown of the play just for Dezign to act on it, he has to listen to the calls and act accordingly. I had the same thing happen when I was playing Ranked with my homies, buddy was playing crypto and ring was closing in, we had a spot under the bridge but a team was as above us, asked the homie to use his crypto ult but he refused and asked me why, in the minute I took to explain to him it was too late to make a play and we got pinched by another team. It’s easy to call out a mistake in retrospect, but in the moment you have to make a play and Timmy is well aware that as IGL whatever the outcome is he will be fully responsible, not Dezign, so he just has to play more cohesive and they have a good chance to make finals

He literally calls good tho. he says "bottom floor lets take it", then he says " kat wall and fight to our left". Thats enough what more do you want. The ending there was no way they could climb up without dieing so they had no choice to fight down there. There was no comms needed since it was just final fight, what else are they gunna do, he comms that he doesn't have q so not much they can do.

Timmy actually is a good igl but i do notice when things get stinky he goes quiet and focuses on bailing out his team. It's actually a challenge to speak under distress while trying to perform on a high level so i can understand. I have problems talking to my buddies when im focusing on a game so i can imagine how hard it is to igl when money is onthe line.

The second thing, to be fair, probably was Dezign thinking that the wall-off was done to block the inside team while they fought the people in the car. The first thing is that Dezign is concerned about Timmy not realizing potential pitfalls of a play because he doesn’t realize Timmy has already accounted for that, and there wasn’t enough time to figure out who knew what. Dezign should just commit at that point because there’s no good solution.

This is why I solo to diamond and just go play another game until next season.
