That last post was really resonating with me because I’ve been watching Mikey’s videos for 8 years now and I’m graduating 8th grade this year and I’m terrified to start again in a new school but Mikey has been the only KZbinr ive stuck with for all this time and really brings smile whenever I see a new video posted.

Best of luck in high school. It will likely be harder than middle school, but try to avoid falling into a depressive state. I can tell you from experience, it's not fun. Anyways, enjoy! There may be more books in the school library available to you, and you may discover new sides of yourself(for me, it was my major anime/manga nerd and animator/visual artist sides). Take the classes you want, but don't lose sight of graduation requirements. If you feel like it, I'm sure you'll be able to make new friends. I'm acting so wise, but I'm only a 9th grader myself. Classes will get tougher, and if you're not prepared for it, your grades may drop quite a bit below your middle school grades(My math grade between 8th and 1st semester 9th dropped around 11 points). Also, if you're wondering about why I specified 1st semester, my high school runs on a block schedule(4 classes per semester, so 8 classes throughout the year, as opposed to 6). Anyways, good luck!

I figured this out by looking at the Galar gym leader uniforms and their league card signatures They’re a made up alphabet that when translated, is the Japanese spelling of words, for example Allister’s uniform has four symbols that translate to “Gost”, the Japanese spelling of “Ghost”. And his signature on his league card uses the same “o” symbol twice in the correct spots when spelling his name, which implies that he signed his Japanese name, “Onion”.

I remember back in 1st grade I was a transfer student from the other side of the country (US), because of my new accent and difficulties with speaking, I often got judged by the teachers and in turn the other students hated me. It was only until early June at the end of the school year I had found Mikey's channel for the first time. In my eyes, gen 7 didn't remake gen 1 per se, it re-imagined it. As for gen 3 remaking gen 1, I think it was to make it to where you could bring Kanto Pokemon into Hoenn, since it wasn't possible to do so with the original gen 1 and 2 games.

Not to like steal their thunder, but I too am a person who watched your “what’s inside a poke all video” and am graduating high school in less than a month. Though I’ve definitely not been as engaged with your content as I used to be, I still watch every video. Very few (at current no) people around me have been interested in Pokémon, so being able to watch you, who has very similar types of interests in the world of Pokémon, has been incredible. Like you said, while KZbin certainly isn’t a thankless job, I can see how you might fall out of connection with your audience. There was total solar eclipse in our area during my senior year of highschool. The school came up with the idea of giving eclipse glasses to all the students so that we could see the event that wouldn't happen again in 20+ years. It ended up being overcast for the entire time it was in our area. I will never not feel robbed by this.

You're so lucky. I've never once seen the solar eclipse, since it never usually goes near my state, but seeing those clouds change made me feel so happy. I've never been able to witness that, and actually seeing that gave me joy, even if it was just the clouds. It at least gave me a glance at SOMETHING.

I relate to the last person on the video, going to college. Same background Muslim kid growing up with Pokémon KZbin content. Although I've been lucky with friends who also have a love of Pokémon and my other shared interests. Thank you for your art and best of luck in college.
