Both are great. The harp just a little slower. The nuances of the harp are delicate and you miss some of the small details that Bach often used. Other than that, I’m waiting for a CD!!

I wish there was a button for something greater than 'Like', such as 'Superlative!'. In fact I can't even find the words to express how I feel about this recording. I will try a metaphor: Should an alien race one day invade this planet, with a view to seizing it for themselves, and if they possess organs for perceiving vibrations in molecules of gas (mainly nitrogen, with about one fifth oxygen, as it happens), and should they ever chance to come across this particular pattern of vibrations, they surely would be unable to destroy mankind, but would have to prostrate themselves before us as before gods, due to the miraculous ability of humankind to create such beauty. Even though most of us, myself included, are pretty much completely useless in that regard. Or again, should a person be trying, in desperation and despair, to throw themselves down from a great height, and a rescuer could slap a pair of headphones on them and play this music to them, they surely could not bear to leave a life, which for all its troubles, contains such ineffable joy.

Hi Jenny, I'm sorry for my delay here! I play directly from the clavecin score! I find making one's own arrangement so edifying as well, which is why I haven't released a transcription of the Toccata and Fugue, BWV 565. I think it's such a lovely practice for us harpists to be challenged by making our own adaptations! Good luck, and I hope I get to hear YOURS, soon:) xoxo
