Great video!! I immediately thought of pans labyrinth and the mandrake scene where ofelia puts the mandrake in milk under her pregnant mothers bed to help her get better.

Before the video starts here's my fantasy idea of what mandrake root does (this is for a d&d campaign and just my take on what it is based on what I knew before watching this or anything else, really, about mandrakes): It's considered a plant, when pulled from the ground its screech and cry can knock people unconscious. Depending on the severity, this could even mean instant death. The reason the harvested root is valuable: it's a potent potion making ingredient but also said to fuel a forge brighter than any wood, allowing the smelting of rare ore such as mithril. That's my contribution! now to watch the video!

I get so excited when I see a new Anna video! This is the best way I can think of to let my phone battery die during this power outage!
