I have the story on CD growing up but no one had ever spoken to had ever heard of it and most people who who did stories on mythology in folklore never mentioned it either so I started to think maybe I had simply confused the story of eros and psyche from Greek mythology Evan has a very similar premise though being very different in details

What it said in the Heather Dale song part of the mythology that the males cannot live on land for a full night and that's why they vanish so quickly

When I was a child I used to have a reoccurring dream of a skull with red eyes down on the ground somehow moving around and always chasing me, as a child it used to terrify me! Had the dream many of times tho and ones of the same skull terrorizing me within other dream settings as well

lapland is actually a misappropriated term ! this overlaps with the Indigenous land of Sami people ~ the land called Sapmi :) it has been colonized into parts of northern norway, sweden, finland, + russia + is often called "lapland" but for native peoples its a derogatory term ! so ya know !
