I think this set is pretty good for kids, because not only do you get the speeder thingy, the trashy droid mechanism, the weird arch, and the figures, but a rather impressive interior and exterior of the temple. If I were a child I would've loved this for sure, even if the price is a bit steep.

It's very possible that she has a crystal that makes her blade purple. Legends has that kind of thing, along with the crystals based on alignment.

A lightsaber being purple has nothing to do with the struggle with the dark side, really. If you refer to Mace Windu, who happened to have a purple lightsaber, his interaction with the Vaapad ligthsaber stance has more to do with that.

In canon the purple lightsaber doesn't have the meaning as it maybe did in legends. It's just a purple color.

I think this set is actually very good for MOC builders. I myself bought this set immediately when it became available in my region, because the figures as well as some of the parts (printed jedi logo...) are just perfect for my MOC .

We just bought this because it was half off. 😂 Looked up a video after it was built because I have no idea how kids normally play with these. My son is 4 and this is our first set. While I was watching the video, he'd figured out on his own how to play with it and is having a great time. He also really enjoyed the build.

Just got this for 50% off. Haven't watched the show but the Jedi emblem and minifigures are nice. I like Jedi figures, even for padawans I don't know, and the weird Yoda is a fun curio, same as the Clone Wars Yoda.

@2:38 I don't think Kai will be old enough to endure Order 66 since Yoda is 650+ years old at this point in time, and Order 66 takes place at least 200+ years later when Yoda is over 900.

Note that this set is based in the High Republic era, which is also reflected in the robe design, so no Order 66 haha.

4+ instructions in physical form are key to getting younglings into the hobby. That is how my little ones started to learn to use the instructions. Then moved onto 5+ which is like a step up, those ratings are crucial to kids understanding Lego, there are so many kids who don't get into it because the parents give them a 10+ set at 5 years old and they get frustrated and give up, etc.

Honestly it’s insulting that Lego thinks kids are as dumb as a bag of crap. At 4 years old, I was building 300 piece Lego sets all by myself. And I’m sure most kids probably can with help from their parents. So I didn’t know why Lego thinks kids just can’t handle tiny pieces.

Just to give a perspective on why an adult would be interested, I'll toss my two cents in here. I collect all non-Clone Wars style Jedi variants (although there are some CW figs that are looking awfully appealing these days) , so this actually really appeals to me. Not $40 appeals, but maybe 20-40% off appeals.
